El buen paladar — Restaurant in Midland

🏠A restaurant where “mi casa es su casa”- lots of regulars known by name and sharing camaraderie, as an out of town er this was very wholesome to witness. 🌯 VEGETARIAN OPTIONS! I enjoyed 3 different kinds of veggie burritos and chilaquiles. The beans and rice were so 🤤 🇨🇺 Alex the owner is from Cuba and word has it there’s a secret Cuban menu. Otherwise, his menu includes all the best from 🇲🇽 I went there multiple times while there on work when I typically try to go to places only once....

Perfection! Fluffy rice, perfect beans, fabulous everything. Mexican soul food. The epitome of Mexican food is the Rosa plate -- I think it's called-- with relleno, tamale, taco and enchilada with beans and rice. They don't put the prices on the menu which I always hate, but $13.99 was great for fine dining. I've never been much of a fan of flan, but the flan was sublime, astronomically better...

I do not know why this place wasn’t packed! The staff was friendly and quick. I had the bisteca. The meat was crazy flavorful and cooked with fresh onion, jalapeño and tomato. Even the rice was a step above. The sign lights weren’t on and the place was hard to find in the dark…that’s the only possible way you could...
