Blakemore Planetarium — Attraction in Midland

Way back in the late 80s I went here every school day (1st period) for Astronomy class. Cool class other than all the math involved. I just liked leaning my head back and feeling like I was actually traveling to the various stars and galaxies in person. Many mornings, since the teacher had such a monotone, "Bueller" Ben Stein kinda voice, I would end up falling asleep and my friend would have to wake me up to get on the bus back...

Small planetarium with one main room with some information that can be read in about 10 minutes, but it also has a very high tech globe display. Movies only play every two hours and I didn't show up at the right time, so I missed out. There is another room with some fun little interactive physics...

Fair price for a small yet delightful venue. Loved the dome show! The gentleman hosting was kind, informative and enthusiastic which made it that much better. Go on a Saturday and start with the farmers market then move indoors to the planetarium and museum to round out the afternoon. 100%...
