Taco Villa — Restaurant in Midland

Grew up in the Permian Basin and when I get back there I always make it a point to stop by Taco Villa on my way out and load up on the wonderful noms and bring it home with me to freeze and enjoy until my next trip into Midland/Odessa. This last trip I stopped in at the Andrews Hwy (and Wall) location on my way out of town. It was around noon-ish on the Monday after Father’s Day and they were bumpin. I ordered a 6-pack each of combo burritos, tacos, and bean burritos, plus an order of nacho fries and a single combo burrito for the road. Not only did the folks working the line wrap all my burritos in tin foil (I told them I’d be freezing them and they volunteered), but they de-constructed the tacos so they wouldn’t get soggy on the long drive home! When we couldn’t locate the single combo burrito in the order, they quickly made another for me with zero complaint while they were in the weeds with lunch rush. Normally the service and food are great at this location but, not tonight! The girl who started taking our order walked away in the middle of me talking. Another lady came over and even after repeating my order to her 4 times, she still couldn't get it and kept saying she needed to start over. Ok, my daughter is picky but 2 soft tacos no lettuce or tomato... really isn't that hard. I talked to my son who was standing next to me, to which this lady told me "What did you say?" I told her I was talking to my son. To which she responds "You're not allowed to say anything without telling me." That's when I got upset and told her what I told my son was none of her business and that I was done repeating myself over and over. So we left. This location is the one my family always goes to, closest to our home, and we normally have a good experience there. I won't be going back again after the day...

If I could give zero stars that’s what they would get today!!!! This is my second complaint in a months time. I will NOT be back. I’d rather drive across town to other Taco Villas or go to Rosa’s or Taco Bell. The manager on call today at 10:45 is a joke and that’s exactly what she was doing rather than working. Walking around “joking”. I felt super bad for the kid working the window. I ordered 2 sides of bacon and didn’t see them (cause they threw them on top of my gravey in the box of my biscuits and gravy-not how I ordered it) so he asked her about it and rudely she said it’s in the box and proceeded to get grumpy with him. Wow! So professional there. Maybe I should just reach out to the office of Bobby Cox myself!! Get it...
