I had already been to this location once before and was unimpressed with the product but my wife really wanted to try Shipley's so before work I decided to pick up a couple glazed for her and my mom. I waited 20 minutes for 2 glazed donuts. Now I'm no rocket scientist but it shouldn't take more than a couple minutes per customer per order, on average. Anyway, I finally pull up to the ordering intercom and the lady says," I'll be with you in just a moment " really. Another minute later she comes back on, I place my order and pull up. Well guess what, it takes someone another 5 minutes to grab 2 donuts, that aren't even warm I might add. I peer in through the window thinking well maybe they are slammed. Nope, just 8 or so people moving without any sense of urgency. Needless to say I won't be stopping here again. On the flip side, I wanted to try Jack and Jill Donuts right across the street. Guess what, it took one guy less than 2 minutes to work through 2 vehicles and get my 2 donuts to me ( we did a taste comparison) Jack and Jill is not only better but more affordable and they work like they actually care what the customer experiences. Don't waste your precious time in line at Shipley's, go right across the street to Jack and Jill's and get better product while supporting small mom and pop...

We stopped in expecting a quick and easy experienceânothing complicated. But instead, we were met with poor service, zero willingness to help, and a frustrating attitude from the very start.
The person taking our order made it clear they didnât want to be bothered. When we asked a simple question or tried to clarify, we were met with short, dismissive responses and absolutely no effort to assist. It wasnât a busy moment, and the order was straightforwardâthere was just no interest in providing even the most basic level of customer care.
This isnât just about one bad day. Weâve experienced a consistent lack of service across multiple visits, especially at the Midland, TX location on Wall Street. Itâs clear that this isnât a one-time issueâitâs a reflection of poor training and zero accountability.
We left feeling disrespected and physically upset by how we were treated. It set the tone for the rest of our day in the worst way.
We wonât be returning, and we truly hope the management takes a serious look at how customers are being treated across...
Read moreNicer location than the ones around Houston (where theyâre from)! đ€Ł Overall, they represent the chain well. Donuts were fresh and tasted the same as back home. The jalapeño sausage cheese kolaches, that was a little off. Breading, sausage, cheeseâŠgood JalapeñosâŠlacking. Didnât think there were any for 3/4 of the roll until I hit the end. Then I got a little but, no heat. I was actually hoping Shipleyâs Midland would have perked up my morning but it looks like those city slickers in Houston eat more fire than out here. đšđ OhâŠ.had to come back and update. I had forgotten to mention the coffee. It was fresh, it was hot and, it was really awful. Not sure whatâs going on there. For me to say that⊠itâs something. Iâve had quadruple strength Community dark in Freshwater City, LA thatâs been on the burner too long and it was still OK next...
