Oh today (Labor Day) was a rough one. We've never had quite this bad of an experience at Logan's Roadhouse in the past.
We do realize they were short-staffed today because of the holiday weekend. We extended much grace and were patient and kind.
My boyfriend and I visited at 8pm. There were only a few people in the restaurant. The hostess possibly was new; not overly friendly and seemed to have trouble figuring out where to put us even though there were only a handful of people in the restaurant. She placed us in the "garage" which was fine other than what was on the TV. Good thing we didn't have little children with us. 😬 Tvs should have sports or "family-friendly" shows on. We asked them to change the station since we were the only ones in that part of the restaurant and they had trouble finding the right remote. (2 minutes of labeling the remotes would save time in the future.)
Our waitress was friendly. I didn't catch her name if she provided it though. She took our drink order and put our appetizer order in right away and it came out quickly. The spinach and artichoke dip was subpar. I've had it before and it seemed overcooked. We didn't say anything though. She took our orders. The sticky ribs my boyfriend ordered were out of stock and she told us right away. So he chose sirloin and baby back ribs with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I ordered the 3 pulled pork roadies which came with waffle fries.
After 15/20 minutes, our waitress came out to tell me they were out of the pulled pork roadies. (I'm uncertain why it took them 15/20 minutes to figure that out.) She asked if I wanted the regular roadies and I said that was fine.
It took almost 1 hour before we received our food. Our waitress said it was because of a large to-go order. If we hadn't filled up on the spinach and artichoke dip and rolls (which were great, by the way), we probably wouldn't have been as patient. Shouldn't orders of people sitting in a restaurant come before to-go orders?
When our food arrived, my boyfriend's food was all cold or lukewarm to the touch. The broccoli was cold. Mashed potatoes, ribs and sirloin were all cold. The sirloin was rubbery. He did not take his food with him.
My food was all fine, but nothing special.
Our waitress offered an additional side because of the wait. She brought out mac n cheese which was really good.
We did end up complaining at the end, which we rarely do, but the overall experience wasn't great.
They did give us 50% off our bill.
We'll be back, but not for a while. Maybe sometime next year we'll give Logan's...
Read moreWhere to begin… my girlfriend and I dined in a few weeks back. Rolls and apps were good and hot, but we waited nearly 45 minutes for our entree. By the time it came out, our fries and Mac and cheese were rock hard and cold, and our steak was jerky hard. It was clear it had been forgotten and sitting somewhere for who knows how long. We notified our waitress who had the manager refund our order. Then last night, we decided to Doordash Logan’s again. When the food arrived, lo and behold the ribs and fries were rock hard and cold to the touch, with the BBQ sauce already hardened to the meat. We contacted doordash, who once again refunded our order. Then, call us crazy, we decided to Doordash again tonight because my girlfriend really enjoyed her brisket sandwich. First off, our food was over an hour past estimated time because some Doordasher picked up the wrong order, and they had to remake it. When it arrived… guess what?? Fries rock hard and cold, ribs freezing, and my girlfriend’s brisket sandwich is on some roll half the size of the sandwich the previous night, with the remainder of the meat in a side cup!! Oh, and she ordered 2 sides of mac and cheese, but was only given one. But wait… it gets better… completely fed up my girlfriend took our order back to the store and demanded our food be remade fresh and complete. After taking the bag of food back to the kitchen, they came back out with our food “remade” 15 minutes later. She brought it home, and we started to dig in nearly 2 hour after we first ordered food. After starting on the brisket and ribs, they were warm but tasted mistakably dry and chewy. After piecing through the rest of the food, we found a burned hole in the side of one of the mac and cheese containers- unmistakably a sign of microwaved styrofoam (see attached picture). Yes… they had taken our cold and expired food back into the kitchen, microwaved it, and given it back to us. Messing up our order more times than I can count is one thing… but taking our trashed food, microwaving it, and giving it back to us is 1: unsanitary, especially in the middle of a global pandemic, and 2: completely and utterly inexcusable in this industry. Not only will we never, EVER return, but we will be spreading this story throughout our friend groups around town. To everyone reading- save your money, and most importantly, your sanity! …and avoid this place...
Read moreWe took my mother-in-law to dinner at Logans, since she loves Ribeye Steak and she refuses to go to "Lucky's! The first issue was the appetizer, fried mushrooms. We love the fried mushrooms, but this time they were overcooked and tasted burnt, we sent them back. The wonderful yeast rolls Logans is known for (to our family) were flat and cold when they came out. I asked the waitress for more rolls, and they came out exactly the same way! My mother-in-law was very disappointed with her 12oz "medium rare" ribeye. It was way over done, the butter on her side of corn wouldn't melt. It was taken back to the kitchen to try to get it right. Someone from the kitchen came out and was told exactly what she wanted. The person said, "So you want it mooing?" Yes, what came bake was done ok, but it didn't have the taste of a ribeye. It was really thin and had a lot of chuncks of fat and gristle. My husband ordered chicken tenders, and they, too, were a little bit overdone. I ordered the Cajun Alfredo Chicken and Sausage. It was good, but I do believe it needed more Alfredo as it was very dry. My potatoe soup was old and so it didn't have a good flavor, and it was dark brown. The waitress said it was the last of the pot, and they were making more, so when it was done, she would bring me another bowl. However, a gentleman came out saying he was told we were having some problems tonight. We told him everything I've written, and when he left us, he commented that he would see what he could do for us. He never came back to our table, but when the bill came, it showed the appetizer was taken off, and the ribeye dinner was 50% marked down! What?? We usually never complain about the food, even when it's bad, but we are tried of paying good money for bad food or bad service. Our service was ok. She forgot a few times to bring what we asked for, like glass of water, regular sugar packets, and boxes. I believe our meals should have been written off, and complimentary meal coupons should...
