Blue Agave in Gahanna, Ohio serves delicious Mexican food in a modern atmosphere! I recommend going for lunch or dinner, then walking over to Creekside park nearby. The guacamole was some of the best I've had, and we loved the fajitas and carnitas tacos as well! #gahannaohio #cbusfoodscene #columbus #614eats #cbusfoodie #ohiofoodie

Being new I have bee considerate. The seating and wait was immediate. Not as attentive to drinks/chips refill as should be. Sat outside, the speaker is sorta loud but not too bothersome. It’s distracting from traffic on Granville. Happy hour margarita is tasty frozen and on the rocks. Barbacoa burrito is recommended but be careful not to burn your mouth - add sour cream it’s amazing. Hawaiian fajitas are tasty but the ratio between meat and the other junk could be improved but still worth the try, the junk is good. Service is friendly and professional, just a weird atmosphere on Saturday at 4:30. Maybe just with the inbetweeners 😂

Blue Agave was a decent Mexican restaurant. Not same as other colorful Mexican restaurants, this location was decorated like a fancy American steakhouse with beautiful bar and patio. But, their food tasted authentic with a great price and size. Service was excellent and WiFi was fast. There were many great combos in the lunch menu with great sides. Free chips and salsa tasted amazing. My beef taco and enchilada tasted not bad. Mashed potatoes and salad were great. Their happy hour and drink menu also looked attractive.

While stumbling upon this restaurant over the weekend, we thought we had found a new place that we may frequent. Once inside the decor was really nice. Nobody was really there so we thought we would be in and out. We came in through an entrance that was right in front of the bar, so we sat at the bar. We sat for a minute waiting for a bartender or someone to greet us. Once we were greeted, we were given some salsa and chips and menus. The guy said someone would be with us in a minute. I tried to ask for some water but just as fast as he dropped the chips and salsa he was gone. As we sit and watch the game a female sits at the bar, everyone greets her the bartender comes out of nowhere and talks to her and she orders a drink and talks to everyone. Now I'm irritated because we have been there for almost 15-20 minutes, and nobody said anything to us. Then after the bartender makes her drink, he then asks us if we were ready to order and takes our drink order and food order. I ordered a steak fajita and my friend orders a chicken fajita. The food comes out smelling good and we are ready to eat. The guy who greeted us with chips and salsa brings the food out and said, "I'll be right back with your tortillas". The steam from the food has died down, we're still waiting on the tortillas. I had to ask someone who was talking to the girl at the bar if they could get the tortillas while I watch the guy who said he would be right back go serve another table. At this time, I don't even want to eat at this place anymore, so we asked for boxes and a check. I did taste my food while I was there, and it was good. The service was so bad I was over it. While packing up our food the bartender asked us how we liked our food. It took everything in me not to be belligerent! I kindly turned to him and told him how nice the place looked, how the meal didn't come out with everything that it was supposed to and how disappointed I was in the service and he had the nerve to say they were really busy, and had only been there for 3 weeks and they were short staffed for a Saturday afternoon. I looked around and it was 1 table full of people and maybe 3 outside. Mind you it was 2-3 tables of people when we got there, and they were already eating. I might give this place another try, they might have been still sleepy from the night before. They really need to work on customer service if they want people to keep coming back! The customer service was...

Came out for a girls lunch. They weren’t busy but had a few tables. We were waited on right away. I wanted a margarita made without premix. It’s too sweet and mostly corn syrup so I asked for a real margarita. After a lot of discussion I looked up the recipe for them and they made a proper margarita. (Come on folks….its a simple recipe and should be something any bartender can make). We asked for the table side guacamole and instead we were brought quac that was premade. That was disappointing as we were expecting to be able to pick the ingredients. What they brought was bland, skip the quac. I had the lunch portion chicken fajitas and that was good. My friend had the taco salad and said it was good. Unfortunately once the food came we didn’t see our waitress until it was time for the bill. It’s a nice place and has parking. But we like the one in New Albany better. It was a bit on the pricey side. My fajitas, 1/2 of the quac and 1 margarita was $50. Give it a try if you are in the area. But being extra money and ask for everything you...

Came in for dinner on Monday night and we were so disappointed. We waited 20 minutes after being seated for someone to ask about drinks. Another 30 minutes after for a food order, and our orders were wrong but couldn’t do anything about it because the woman didn’t come back for a long time. She was nice but didn’t understand what we were saying, language barrier was extensive. The food was bland and the rice was hard, like it had been sitting out for a long time uncovered. First time we came is when they opened, great experience. The second time was just awful, again the food was bad and the language barrier with the male bartender was a problem. We decided to give it another try this week, swing and a miss. The booths are too tight and you sink almost a foot when you sit in them. It’s a nice looking place, but service and food are not there. Hope it improves, but we...
