GET READY FOLKS, WE ARE IN FOR A REAL REVIEW!!
THE FOOD: I'm a vegetarian who ordered their vegan Burger that they make in house. The"burger" does NOT stay tougher. It's more of a slop on a burger. They claim it's because it's all fresh ingredients. But i can assure you, I have friends that make AMAZING ones that not only stay together but have real flavor that makes you crave more. I offered them a recipe at the restaurant, they had zero interest.
THE SERVICE: I asked for a table that's the best for views and peacefulness. The staff sat me. Cool. HOWEVER, The waitress, she looked at me. Said she be right with me. Took orders for a table of many then went to the other table next to me and asked them what else they wanted.. Encouring them to have another adult beverage. What else? ELSE.??? Are you serious right now? Ummm hello? Woman who would at the least like to place a drink order over here! But I waited and waited. She put the order in for the table and got the guys what they all wanted. Then back to the other table and back inside again for whatever. I was like what the heck! I asked a person that was bussing a table of her kindly get me a Root beer because clearly she could care less about little ol me. She comes out, glances at me with a quick eye"I'll be right with you" 😄 yeah right I think to self. She talks and talks and chats it up with the guys. Then pops over and is like so can I get you anything? I quickly ordered and she left. She comes back for the other tables a bunch of times, I was like EXCUSE me? Excuse me? A bunch of times. She never heard me and spent more time inside the place than out. I had to go inside to go more napkins myself and condiments. Beware! There are NO people outside regularly so you may be left waiting and waiting and waiting.
THE ATMOSPHERE: Pretty views. But if you're eating out on the deck, beware, if peace is what you're looking for? Forget it. I requested the best views. They put me out there. Nice table location. Kudos on that. HOWEVER, I was placed in the corner where the 2 nearest tables were one in front of me filled with 4, mid 20's men, who were loud (fine whatever. We all get excited with company) but caring NOT that I, a solo female seated right there, was hearing ALL of the vulgarity they spoke of women! Literally the ENTIRE TIME! AND to the right of me, was a table that was letting their children run around yelling and cheering "Dirty Jesus!" Over and over and over again! Why? They heard what the parents were talking about at the table about a seemingly homeless man in town resembled and that that's what he's known to go by. I said to the table "THAT'S TERRIBLE!" They just looked at me like I was an alien. That poor man. Whoever he is, I pray he NEVER hear this tasteless annnddd thoughtless harsh ignorance EVER. Annnddd just to think, by looking at THEIR clothes, and hearing about their yachts, you'd think they'd have better things to talk about. I was SO DISGUSTED AND OFFENDED by BOTH TABLES.
After both tables had left I spoke to the waitress about all areas of concern. She said there's NOTHING she could or would've done in regard to either table. That: "This is a family establishment. So we welcome ALL people. And had i said something then, that she would've been happy to move me inside." Me inside? ME? WHY SHOULD I MOVE? If it's such a family establishment then why are those wild, crazy and disrespectful people put OUTSIDE? But I should move? Me? Maybe prioritize the people looking for a peaceful place with pretty views to the deck moreso!
In response to the lack of priority to my table. She's sorry I felt that way. Okay. So what I'm getting is because you're so proud it's a family establishment you don't really care that I told you about my burger that I was unpleasant. You could care less about my experiences. You could care less about my being served properly OR that I was a first time visitor that I made clear at the beginning, with no peace and a trained view by a bunch of ignorance...
Read moreOrdered take out for lunch. I ordered the “Flipside Nachos” for $13 with tater tots and instead of chili I got the shredded chicken which was an extra $5. I arrived to pick up my food and when I went to pay, I noticed there was a “To Go” Surcharge. I didn’t mind as it was only $1.61. However, the server running my card then stated there was an automatic 20% tip added to the bill unless I decided to change it. My receipt had the options of 18%, 20% and 25%. I kept the 20%. I have never been told there was an automatic tip on take out. Usually it’s you can leave a tip to help staff if you would like. 20% automatic tip for me to walk in and grab a bag of nachos to go? I got back to work and opened my nachos to find an incredibly small portion of food (see photo with my hand for reference. I wish I counted the individual tots). No way is the portion I received worth $18. I’m unsure if the portion is larger if you eat in, but I was still hungry after eating the incredibly small portion given. I want to also add that the food was mediocre. I have had better tater tot nachos elsewhere. The grand total for my tiny nachos with the “To Go” surcharge and automatic tip was $24.68. I would have had no problem with this total if the portion equaled what I paid for it. I have learned my lesson to not get take out from...
Read moreWhat a delightful spot overlooking the tranquil Milford Harbor. In summer, the terrace becomes our favorite haunt—a dreamy escape, complete with cozy fire pits that cast a magical glow under the evening sky by the port.
This time as it was still too cold outside, the highlight of our visit was the adult milkshakes, particularly the Caramel milkshake—a sublime fusion of creamy delight with a hint of Baileys that blended gracefully on the palate, elevating the classic dessert to a luscious indulgence.
The menu, too, sparkled with creativity, especially in its vegetarian offerings that catered beautifully to diverse tastes without compromising on flavor. The burger selection (both vegetarian and meat) is not only diverse and multifaceted but also outstanding in its creativity and flavor. The Waldorf burger we savored this time was a creative twist on an old-time favorite: ingeniously combining the crisp freshness of apple salad with the rich, earthy tones of walnuts, all nestled in this case atop a succulent veggie burger that was utterly satisfying. The fries were equally impressive—golden and crisp, yet tender on the inside.
Overall, this place is a great experience every time, offering not just a meal but a delightful journey of flavors that assure a safe haven for both comfort and...
