Lasse's Restaurant — Restaurant in Milford

Over the years we have been to Lasse’s many times. The past 4 times we have been here we received terrible service. The most recent one to this time was Valentine’s Day. We had a reservation and they gave our table away even though we were early. They then proceeded to seemingly forget about us at the table (next to the POS). We didn’t receive waters or another beer when asked for multiple times. They got my boyfriends order wrong and they didn’t offer to fix the dish at the time so he just ate it. Prior to that, we typically would order out and would constantly have items missing or meals wrong. The food here is amazing, but they don’t have the service to back it up. This is the final straw. We called in for hot food, ordered 3 hours in advance, and they took the order wrong and gave it to us cold. Management would rather back up their staff and tell you you’re wrong than actually resolve the issue with the customer. I've been here twice with my Dad. Definitely an older crowd. Food was OK, and my Dad LOVES it. Food was a "4*" on my first visit (steak and potatoes), and Satisfactory service.

Went again this week (after dental work, wanted soft food}, and I ordered a chicken quesadilla, received 3 soft chicken tacos. I figured that "these are the way their quesadillas look", but after 2 bites, nope, they're tacos.

Again, in fairness, they tasted fine, but they had hardly any cheese, thus, not QUESAdillas. Plus, they were difficult to eat due to my dental work, I ate HALF of 1 of the 3 tacos and pushed the plate aside.

What erks me a bit was that the server DIDN'T ask "was something wrong with these?", after I asked for a box so I could bring home 90% of my meal. Almost like "she didn't care"....

As a former server/bartender, I want to give her and the restaurant the benefit of the doubt (still left 22% tip), but it wasn't busy, and EVERY restaurant should ALWAYS question an uneaten meal.

This is a must stop in and eat spot been comming here for years the great quality homemade foods around .there known for thier hot open faced roastbeef with mashed potatoes and gravy and a side of veggies .. we also think they have the best mini crock homemade french onion soup sometime me and my girl stop in and order just that on those dreary rainy cold days by far the best ive had with the italian bread and loaded burnt cheese that flows over the sides so so good but they have great service waitrices are awesome .or u can stop in at the bar get a drink watch the games on sunday. And eat one of there 12 dollar dinner specials very well homemade italian food from pasta to chicken parm over ziti. Or baked stuffed ravioli. There menu is grandios def a must we eat there 3x a month for years just a great relaxed atmosphere in ur in the milford post road area. I reccomend stopping i guarantee u wont b let down very reasonible pricing for great quaity food. Im goin tonight hope to see u...
