Chinnie's Kitchen — Restaurant in Mill Creek

I just called this restaurant with high expectations, hoping to make a reservation for a party. However, the entire experience left me extremely disappointed and outraged. For a place that presents itself as a “Chinese restaurant,” I never imagined I would encounter such blatant racial discrimination.

Here is what happened: When I called, I naturally spoke in Chinese to explain my request to book a table. To my shock, as soon as the receptionist heard me speaking Chinese, he responded in an incredibly rude and dismissive manner. He impatiently interrupted me and shouted, “NO Chinese here, bye!” in English, before abruptly hanging up the phone. But in Google is showing this is CHINESE RESTAURENT.

What was even more shocking is that he emphasized during the call that he was the owner of the restaurant. Such words not only humiliated me personally but also represent outright discrimination against all Chinese-speaking customers. It is beyond comprehension that a place branded as a “Chinese restaurant” would openly reject Chinese people. This kind of behavior severely violates the basic principles of respect and equality.

I am writing this review to make sure more potential customers know the truth about the attitude and so-called service at this restaurant. The restaurant industry is not only about serving food; it is also about serving people with dignity and respect. What I experienced here was nothing but humiliation. As a customer, I have the right to be respected, no matter what language I speak or where I come from.

I sincerely urge everyone to think twice before considering this restaurant. Racial discrimination should not exist anywhere, and it is especially unacceptable at a place that claims to represent Chinese culture. I checked my address first in their ordering system to see if we were in the delivery area and it showed that we were. After I set up my $100 order, it said it could not deliver to my address. So I called and the owner (or whoever answered) was very rude to me and she said just to try again on the website and I told her it didn’t work. I tried to place the order over the phone, but then she told me that they don’t deliver to my address because it was the wrong zip code even though she said they deliver to the main cross street we live on. We live in a newer property so I thought maybe the zip code threw her off. I told her we were 3.7 miles so only 10 minutes away from the restaurant and asked if that was too far away and what the range was for their delivery area so I could understand. She would not tell me what their delivery area was. I completely understand that they need to keep a close delivery area, so was just wondering if maybe it was only within 2 or 3 miles away from the restaurant so we were slightly outside of it. Confused on why entering my address in their system said they would deliver. It says on the website to call for larger orders and they might deliver outside the delivery area and I asked how much would I need to order to deliver out of the area and she wouldn’t answer and just hung up. Horrible service during a time when restaurants are struggling during the pandemic shut down and I’m trying to support them. Apparently didn’t want my business in any way and has lost a customer who would have gladly returned and kept ordering again in the future. Not sure where the positive service reviews that involved calling the restaurant are coming in from, but I tried talking to them more than once and they were rude every time.
