I came here with my family trying to grab a quick bite to eat. Great! We love Gotts in Napa and figured it would be an airport quality version of the burger joint. When ordering, I felt pressured by the gentleman behind the counter and ordered a burger just to get out of the way since there was a small line behind us building. For 14$ a burger, I received an extremely well done patty that was too charred so I had to ask for a remake. They remade it with no hassle to me and I received my remade medium burger...only now it had blue cheese. At this point I was already bummed at how I was helped(rushed) in the beginning while ordering and how my burger came out twice that I just did my best to remove all the blue cheese. For the price I'm severely disappointed at how everything turned out. Yes people make mistakes or have bad days, but everyone behind the counter seemed to just be making mistakes that would be acceptable at a fast food chain. Not at a better burger place that costs me an arm and a leg for a burger and fries. I'm not opposed to paying for a quality meal, I don't like donating money to a company that doesn't give me what I pay for.
My brother got a crispy chicken sandwich, which was lukewarm, and very...
Read moreTotally unexpected at an airport! Probably the best airport food I've experienced, ever. I've been in the USA for two weeks on business and today was my last day. I was REALLY sick of the unhealthy stuff Americans call 'food' (ie no fresh veggies!), and I just thought this place was another expensive airport diner with unhealthy fried food.
That assumption turned out to be totally incorrect!
You have to line up like MacDonald's to order, as there is no table service unless you sit at the bar. That's a bit off-putting, but the parallels with maccas stops there.
I ordered the California Chicken Sandwich and it was made with really fresh ingredients. Grilled chicken breast, red onion, tomato, Lettus, real Avocado and mayo. This wasn't junk food. I was astonished how good it was so I told the cooks how good this was and they were very happy to hear from me. If I'm in SFO, I'm going to come back here again.
These guys really have a passion for what they do, and it really shows. Great service with a smile and great food. What more can you ask for?!
The photo doesn't do the justice to how good the sandwich was. Just order it and you...
Read moreIt was a great day when Gotts came to SFO, as the previous place Il Fornaio bakery wasn’t great. I come through SFO every few weeks so a good food option is important to me. Gott’s burgers are really good, made to order and very tasty. Some of them are kinda tall so might end up using a knife and fork. The organic shakes are also recommended, especially the Vanilla one which is super nice. However, I am going to mark them down on a couple of points. Firstly, they are sloooow. This isn’t fast food. When the airport gets busy it can take an age for your food to appear so don’t think you can walk up and grab a burger just before boarding your flight. Secondly, the way seating works is terrible if you’re a solo traveller. You hopefully find a seat after ordering, but then have to go pick up your food when the buzzer goes off, so either you leave your expensive stuff unattended while you wander off to the Pick Up point, or you take it all with you and risk losing your table. It’s really a poor system and has left me standing trying to eat a burger from a tray a couple of times. Otherwise, on a quieter day this is a great...
