I recently had the pleasure of dining at Quail + Crane, located near SFO Airport, and I must say it was an excellent experience. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant's proximity to the airport makes it a convenient choice for travelers like myself.
First and foremost, the food was outstanding. The menu offered a diverse range of options, and each dish was prepared with utmost care and attention to detail. I particularly appreciated the allergy-friendly aspect of the restaurant, as I have dietary restrictions. The staff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring that my needs were met and providing valuable recommendations.
One of the highlights of my dining experience was the fantastic view. The strategically placed windows allowed me to overlook the bustling terminal while enjoying my meal. It added a unique touch to the overall ambiance and made my dining experience even more memorable.
Moreover, the service was exceptional. The staff members were attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure I had a great time. Their friendly and professional demeanor made me feel welcomed and taken care of.
Whether you're looking for a delicious meal before catching a flight or simply want to enjoy a fantastic dining experience near the airport, I highly recommend this location. It exceeded my expectations in terms of food quality, allergy-friendliness, attentive service, and...
Read moreQuail and Crane is an interesting fusion restaurant that has a lot of the high quality elements of a fine dining restaurant mixed with some oddly less premium feeling elements.
Positives: This is basically fine dining within minutes of the airport. That’s a huge benefit and the hotel itself is spotless and modern. The food is delicious if a bit overpriced, and seasoned well. Staff are attentive. Materials in the tables and chairs feel thoughtful and expensive/plush.
Negatives: The view of airport tarmac is uninspiring and a little drab, no matter the time of day. The price tag is high for what you’re actually getting, and the menu coming on a beat-up iPad is pretty cheap feeling (like those airport pizza places nowadays). It’s very at odds with the otherwise classier atmosphere.
The sushi is competent and reasonably sourced, but overpriced for the venue — so aim for other menu items if you care at all about “value” here.
4.6-4.7 stars here. It’s not Michelin tier but the Hyatt knows what they’re doing and I really love all the large wood slabs for tables and bars — (these are not cheap to make and...
Read moreI splurged and decided to stay overnight at the SFO Grand Hyatt prior to a flight, and since we were already splurging, also decided to eat here for dinner. It was ... ok. I got the Wagyu Burger, which was tasty, but the steak fries that accompanied it were way too salty. Service was friendly, but slow -- it took about 40 minutes for our food to come out, and the restaurant didn't seem overly busy at the time. In addition, the drinks we ordered came out at very different times -- my wife got her glass of wine fairly promptly, but it took the bar another 10-15 minutes for my margarita. At least the interior decor and view of the airport terminals and tarmac were spectacular, making the wait a little more enjoyable.
It's worth eating here for the view and ambience, but there are a number of other much more affordable dining options at the airport (pre-security) that you can get to easily by hopping onto the AirTrain, so at least you're not a...
