Barnes & Noble — Restaurant in Millcreek Township

This is for the Onyx Storm release party. This was such a big deal, and I feel BN does not respect their customers. I saw on TT that corporate doesn’t give a budget for this, so the stores that had fun stuff was paid for out of employees’ pockets. I don’t know if that’s true. I did get a bag with a pin, a sticker, and a bookmark & I hope employees didn’t have to pay for that. Perhaps the budget is at the store manager’s discretion. But there wasn’t really anything special above that & I won’t choose BN for any more special book releases.

I paid over what others paid at Target, Amazon, etc. bc I want to support my local bookstore. I take myself and my two children here to buy books & lego often. But this made me feel like BN does not appreciate my business. This was a HUGE release, and they could have done more as a thanks to customers who spend their hard-earned money here rather than Amazon or Walmart.

After this experience, I’m not sure I’ll feel bad about purchasing books elsewhere...

I went in to get a Bible that was on sale for $20 that was originally $50. Cashier gets uncomfy and calls for help… ok.. then more come and it’s like they tried to find everything to not sell me A BIBLE. The cover was the same, author, book and was from B&B website… they just didn’t want to PRICE MATCH IT. I even let them touch my phone to make sure it was their site.. Disgusting and I walked out not buying a thing there. As a business.. never let potential buyers walk back out empty handed. I went on Amazon and the exact same book is $23 there.. so I’m buying from Amazon from here on out. I spend hundreds+ monthly on books so it’s their lost from the same customer. It’s also pitiful their is a TINY section on bibles/religion. I’d give this black -20 stars if I could. Never shopping...

Very helpful, they were able to order the book I wanted and I should have it very soon. Ate lunch there and we're disappointed in my sandwich. The philly steak display sandwich was on a long roll with about 1/2 inch of beef and looked delicious. What we were served was a thin slice of beef on a flat oval roll/bread and the entire sandwich wasn't much more than half an inch thick. It was squashed down and grilled with the bottom bordering on burnt. Nothing at all like the display sandwich. You either need to serve what you display or display what you serve.
