Update: As of now, I won't be going back for at least a few months. Prior to the quarantine, I would go here at least once a week on a lunch break. Although I love the food, over time the service continues to get worse. I'm pretty low maintenance because my focus at a restaurant is food, not be worshiped by the staff. So when I get to the point that the food isn't worth dealing with the service, it's really bad. First of all, it's not the norm for my order to be completely right. And I order simple baskets with no special instructions. Yet, there were multiple times when I got no biscuit or no spoon for my side. It's also rare for it to actually be fast food. Many times I've waited 20+ minutes when it wasn't even that busy. Yesterday was the final straw. Not only was the wait time long, but they completely messed up my order twice. I ordered a Two-can-dine with 5 spicy tenders, two biscuits, and two sides. The first time I got the blackened chicken the guy in front of me ordered with no spoon for my sides or the 2nd biscuit. The second time I got a 3 piece bone-in, still no spoon. I didn't even bother to go back again as I'd already waited 30+ minutes and had things to do. Maybe I'll see if service is better, but that won't be for some time.
Original: The food I've gotten from here has always been good. The biscuits are the best you'll get from a fast food place as they are buttery with a crisp crust. I could literally just order a box of biscuits with some beans & rice and call it a day. Anytime I've been there the service has been good; but I admit I haven't been there during high traffic times. Most of the negative reviews seem to revolve around the service issue. I recall a particular time I was there and the manager on duty was really on top of making sure everyone was satisfied with the service. But again, I tend to go to places when they aren't as busy rather than than get in a long line and then complain about the wait. I wouldn't recommend the cajun fish only because I feel like you don't get enough fish and the batter kind of overpowers getting much of a taste of the fish. If you really want fish, you're better off going over to Long John's where you'll get more for the same price. But the chicken and other sides are good and I find them more flavorful than KFC. If you're someone who prefers food that is more bland and spiceless, I wouldn't this as the place to suit your fancy (or should I say...

I get to the window and am asked to pay for an order I didn't place. Then I was told that coupon couldn't be used but the manager failed to provide a clear reason as to why. The the food I did ordered was not worth the money I spent. This location is cutting corners and reducing portion sizes to increase profits at your expense. Avoid this place at all costs. I'll never be back.
I have known for quite some time that this Popeyes location is notorious for low standards, horrific online order confusion, and abysmal, truly and unabashedly awful order accuracy. There is absolutely zero ambiguity on an online order, yet we waited ten minutes for 2 orders for 2 people each (4 total), even with an advanced order. We specifically requested hot sauce and honey at the pickup window. When our food was delivered to the car, the condiments requested and the drink included with a meal ordered was also not brought to the vehicle. After another 5 minute wait, the very simple request of completing our order had not been taken care of. I had to go inside and plead for the help of a worker to finish our order. Not only were they fully unaware of the request, they were reluctant to fulfill what was in all honesty the simplest of requests they were dealing with at the time. I still love popeyes (bring back the cajun rice!) but this specific restaurant and its franchise owner need to be considered for revocation of their license for repeated offenses in customer service and dismal order accuracy. This location is a terminal blight on the company name. 2 stars for the food not being inedible, and a clean facility....
Read moreI have eaten at many Popeyes locations over the years in many different areas. Popeyes is a staple for me as I live in the south. I was visiting family in Erie and everyone I talked to was raving about this location. Initially, I thought it may just be hype as this is Erie's only Popeyes and it is new. Boy was I impressed. My first impression as I walked through the door was one of extreme cleanliness. Tables and floors were spotless. Not a single ketchup packet was out of place!. This is a stark contrast from other locations I have dined at. I walked up to the counter and I figured I would test the staff by being a bit indecisive with my order. This is common down south, but less tolerated up north, They were super professional! The cashier who took my order knew the menu from top to bottom and was both helpful and patient while I made my choice. My order came out hot, fresh, and quick. The chicken was fresher than the other locations I have frequented and the staff was very attentive during my visit. I ordered quite a bit of food, which took about 45 minutes to consume (it was so good) and I never felt rushed or like the manager was trying to turn tables quickly. The staff checked on me once during my visit to ensure my food was up to par. This is something that I really appreciate when dining out. This was the BEST Popeyes meal that I have ever had! I will certainly be returning every time I am in Erie. If I could bring this Popeyes home with me I would!...
