Slightly quirky streamlined diner. Limited kinds of food on the menu but surprisingly deep in their specialization. You select from 5 or so soups, a single-pass salad bar, 20-ish sandwiches and a few burgers.
Reuben is a treat on marble rye. This is a Pastrami based Reuben, not corned beef. The Rachel variant isn't listed but they do have what it takes to make one
Philly is nontraditional but pretty good for what it is. Comes with grilled onions and peppers but diverges as its dressed in mayo and mustard with lettuce and tomato. Served on a french bread that is good in its own right but also further breaks with tradition.
Soup is decent but has some room for improvement. The ones I've tried managed not to be overly salted nor overcooked from sitting in a steam kettle. I suspect they heat to order.
Service is quick, quality is better than you might expect.
Seating is smaller fast food style booths. This was a Blimpies some years back and that heritage is still visible.

Read moreI had high hopes walking in.
It seems like old joints like this usually have the greatest food, but this place was just “okay.”
My wife ordered a Reuben, which was pretty good. Not to die for, but a solid Reuben nonetheless. Can’t go wrong there.
I thought I’d try something unexpected, so I did a half salad with an egg salad sandwich.
What is typically such a basic dish, the price of this egg salad sandwich mirrored the price of a Turkey club. As such, I assumed they had their own fun spin on it to make it worth the price.
Nope. Just a regular egg salad on some dry bread. Nothing fancy about it. Which is fine. Feels overpriced though.
The salad bar wasn’t as fresh as I hoped it would be. We walked in around 5, so maybe we just didn’t have very good timing for that, as it seems the items had been sitting out for quite a while. Tasted fine, just not very fresh.
Overall, I think I might return one more time to try something else, because the Reuben leads me to believe they have some decent...
Read moreNice one of a kind place. The service here is absolutely exceptional. They are so kind & cheerful. The fries are very good. The meatloaf is popular. The atmosphere is very pleasant with serene music. When first went in was trying to Shazam the song. Then realized it was coming from the awesome clock on the wall behind me. The decor here has a very agrarian home feel to it. Will return to try the meat loaf everyone was ordering. Maybe try some of the yummy looking desserts too. Came here after went in the Dollar Tree next door. Saw like 30 people go in Lettuce & Ladles. Decided to give it a try. The fry sauce was okay. Next time I’ll try ranch. The pasta salad was unique. It has an almost beer taste to it. Not at all Italian vinegar like pasta salads typically are. The serving was quite small for the price. It was maybe 4 ounces for $4. Was thinking for price it would be 12 ounces or maybe a pound. It was interesting...
