I went with my family to Ms. Stella's. Now I understand it's Sunday in the afternoon and it's busy. I get there and order 2 rib plates and a ham plate. The cashier Tanya was more concerned about how good my cologne smelled and how she couldn't wait to 5 o'clock to come. So after about 15 minutes waiting she comes out and tell us there's only one rib plate available. How did that take 15 minutes to discover? And you know what's odd? We didnt even get a ticket number. When I tell Tanya, responds "I got you baby!" with no regard to my wife being present. So my wife gets a chicken wing plate. Instead of giving me back the difference in money, Tanya tries to bargain an extra chicken wing, Just give the difference in money! How hard is it? 6th grade Math. So after another 30 minutes our food is finally available. 7 customers came in and out before we got our food. But MAN! This woman Tanya had the NERVE and Audacity to talk to me and my wife as if something was our fault. "We sorry we was busy" "Y'all need to come earlier" all kinds of ridiculous excuses of why we couldn't get our food in a timely manner as if it was our faults. How because we were hungry? Because we're supporting a business? We are the customers! Now when I get home to eat? Bruh the ribs are lukewarm, borderline cold. The mac n cheese had that oh so familiar taste of failure and rubber for those not knowledgeable in the craft of mac n cheese. My wife enjoyed her chicken wings even though it appeared that the time it took to make them, they must've went out back and slaughtered and unfeathered the chicken. My step daughter thank God enjoyed her food. The most impressive thing to me was the corn nuggets she shared. That is why this is rated 2 stars only. My sister in law told me that that's how they operate because she had a problem much similar to mines but the owner flat out refused to give her her money back. He tried to give her credit for her next visit after the fact that she made it clear that she wouldn't return. I started to go to Longhorn today. My wife asked if I wanted soul food and suggested Ms. Stella's! Im not from Milledgeville but here you have a person willing to pay for good food, service, and dine in experience. The dining room is way to small and you cant enjoy the atmosphere because everybody's on top of each other. The customer service and order of business is PISS POOR! The food was mediocre, except those corn nuggets, they got that right. Your job as a business staff is to provide not necessarily fast but friendly and outstanding service to the customer who is spending his hard earned dollar to support YOUR BUSINESS!! That's business management 101. I guess the staff have forgot their way. Thanks again for the...
Read moreYou order your food cafeteria style. If you are getting cooked or baked items, they are served up. If you are ordering anything fried, it is cooked to order and then served up with the side items, brought to your table. You pay at the end of the line. You can also serve your own drink. I ordered the 3 piece fried chicken thighs, Sweet potato souffle and Mac and cheese with iced tea and tax, it was around $13. The fried chicken was too much for me and I gave a piece to my friend. It was hot and moist but I think it could have used more seasoning ; although it's sometimes hard to know how much to season when cooking for lots of different people The sweet potato souffle was simply outstanding and the mac and cheese reminded me of old school, homemade mac and cheese which I loved. The sweet tea was as you would hope, it was cold and sweet! My friend ordered the catfish, French fries and coleslaw with a soft drink. I think her dinner was around $15. She did not enjoy her as much as I liked mine but agreed she will come back and try other menu items. She thought my chicken was very good.
The men and women who work here are very nice and helpful. The venue has serviceable chairs and tables, You may refill your own drinks, and if you have any room left, there are homemade desserts. The Dining Room was very clean and spacious. As this restaurant is located in a shopping center, there was plenty of parking. Additionally they seem to do a very brisk take out service.
If we returned to Milledgeville, I would certainly want to come back and try other food.Thank...
