I made a reservation for three people on a Tuesday at 8:45 PM to celebrate my sister’s birthday. When we arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty, and we were seated right away. Our server, Christina, took our order promptly, and everything seemed to be off to a good start.
However, the food took a long time to arrive. After finishing the single piece of bread Christina provided, we wanted more but couldn’t ask her because she hadn’t returned to our table. We had to ask another server for more bread. Forty-five minutes after placing our order, Christina finally checked in, letting us know that our food was on the way and asked if we needed anything in the meantime. My sister asked for a soda refill, but Christina never returned, and this turned out to be the last time she helped us.
Nearly an hour later, our food finally arrived, but we were still waiting for the drink refill. We asked the server who brought our food, but he didn’t follow through, so we had to request assistance from another server who kindly refilled the drink and even gave us more bread. Meanwhile, Christina was busy restocking wine bottles and closing up for the night, completely ignoring our table. With our appetite lost from waiting so long, we had to ask the other server (who wasn’t assigned to us) for to-go boxes.
When we were already packing up, the bartender brought out a complimentary ice cream for my sister’s birthday, but by then, it felt like an afterthought. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to enjoy my sister’s birthday dinner at all.
Overall, the experience was disappointing. Not one person apologized for the delay, but I do appreciate the bartender and the other server who helped us even though we were not their responsibility. We’ll definitely have to reconsider dining here again and might choose another...
Read moreI want to start out by giving praise to the wait staff (especially JoJo) for his extreme patience and attentiveness.
Things went wrong before we arrived. I called to inquire if they still were offering the $14 special. When the young host answered, his mumbling greeting was incoherent.
When we arrived, the same hosts greeted us with a nice lengthy blank stare. After moments of silence I finally said.. “for two”. He then proceeded to seat us and tried to sprint away from the table almost crashing into me.
Our waiter, JoJo, was attentive and extremely apologetic. He tried his best in every avenue. More and more people came.. and more and more people went unattended to. It was so bad people were refilling their drinks at the bar and grabbing their own straws. People began to leave without paying (granted they probably received a quarter of their meal).. The food I did get was cold, undercooked, and bland. As we sat and waited for about 2 hours, JoJo delivered a nice plate of chicken wings and a half melted strangely cold dessert.
Speaking of not receiving food, we didn’t receive even half of our food due to the cooks rage quitting. But don’t worry, the manager had his meal at the bar during all of the madness. see picture below the plus side of everyone not getting their food was the bond between patrons over the unbelievably terrible experience.
While grace is extended for off days, tonight was simply unacceptable. The manager was unapologetic, unhelpful, and nonchalant.
Whoever the owner is should seek new management.
One more thing, the dishwasher was not in service so we were served drinks in...
Read moreSaturday night takeout-this place used to be super busy and it was a ghost town that night. Hardly any patrons there. I had ordered take out, walked into the take out area to find nobody there. I waited several mins..then I started walking into the seating area where a manager (maybe, he wasn't wearing a uniform) looked at me while I stood there looking lost. Nobody acknowledged me, so I walked further in to find three associates putting take out orders together. When they saw me, they all looked at each other as if they just got caught either talking about our orders or their customers, either way is super rude. I told them I was here for a pickup and they said they were putting it together and directed me to go back to the take out area which was a small space. Two other women came into that area and we were crowded. The waiter brought my food out and set it on the counter, he asked me to look through the bags to make sure my order was correct. I thought they went through our orders for me..I was not pleased by the poor customer service. I had just spent $150, the portions have all been cut in half. The lettuce in our salads were not fresh like they used to be, they left out the salad dressing for my husband, the kookaburra wings were fried to death, the cheesecake was grainy not smooth at all, the chocolate cake upgrade (extra $3.99 charge) was disgusting and not worth it..dry and bland. Was disappointed by the overall experience,...
