La Dolce Vita Gelato — Restaurant in Milpitas

La Dolce Vita gelato is located at the Great Mall in Milpitas, CA. When you walk into the mall, the gelato place is in the 4th section of the store where the food court is so it should be easy to find. It’s a cute little place where they sell gelato, waffle bites, frozen yogurt, and crepes. I personally liked the gelato a lot and the waffle bites were delicious as well.

I got two medium gelato’s and medium sizes come with 3 different flavors of gelato of your choice. One set of gelatos I got were the tiramisu, strawberry cream, and the panacotta blackberry with almonds and a white chocolate drizzle. The second set was vanilla, pistachio, and peanut butter which were just for pictures only. They did give me another gelato set with only pistachios for photos only too. I got to taste the first gelato set which was the tiramisu, strawberry cream, and the panacotta blackberry with almonds and a white chocolate drizzle. Overall, that combination of the flavors were really luscious and smooth. Each of the flavors I felt “sang it’s own melody” meaning each of the flavors I tasted stood out just how I like it. I love the crunch factor in the nuts and the white chocolate drizzle just topped it all off as a sauce to make a nice medley. My only thing is with the panacotta blackberry, I didn’t taste a whole lot of blackberry in the gelato and I felt the blackberry flavor really was a miss for me however, the gelato itself was creamy and smooth just how I like it. It was almost the same for the raspberry where I didn’t get a lot of raspberry however, I did taste subtle flavors of raspberry but I did wish there was more raspberry. The tirimisu was perfect, great amount of coco powder and coffee it was perfect.

I also got their waffle bites as well and honestly, they were really fluffy and soft in my mouth, I love the chocolate nd caramel drizzle in it and this was almost like a dessert in heaven. The waffle bites were not dense and since it was nice and fluffy, I was able to finish a lot of the waffle bites. I thought that they did a nice job lightening the waffle bites and the toppings were perfect addition to the bites.

Overall, the employees were nice and it did satisfy my sweet tooth cravings! Definitely check out this spot whenever you are around Milpitas at the Great mall, it’s a nice hidden gem that a lot of people don’t know about and it’s generally a nice dessert cafe spot.

Horrible experience, I wait a while for my order and I kept seeing people who had already ordered after me get their orders handed right away which confused me. So I go up to the cashier and ask for my order which mind you I had both ordered and PAID for. The boy gives me my order, he then asks these three girls in the back if I had paid for my order. All three girls come up to the cashier attacking me asking if I had paid which I replied "yes" and she than says "what time" in the rudest manner. One of the other girls than says to just take the order with me. Not only did I feel humiliated but racially discriminated against considering I was the only person of color there and they wanted to accuse me of stealing. To be treated like this in public is insulting and I'm appalled by such behavior, the unprofessionalism is insane we're in 2025...

I really wanted to love this place because they have great tasting gelato. I'm normally a very patient person and decided to go one more time to give them the benefit of the doubt. The first time I came the guy was barely beyond a whisper and seemed annoyed I asked him to repeat himself so many times and seemed annoyed I didn't know what I wanted but he'd just opened and hadn't put all the labeled up. This second time I've gone there were ladies serving and I ordered a scoop of Ferrero Roche and got the most pitiful scoop ever. Fully flattened upon receiving. Not to mention that I was the first person waiting to be served but they attended someone who passed by first and stood by the cashier? Annoying and still they aren't loud enough to be heard and speak so softly and I'm in my 20s! Even tho I love this gelato I'm not coming...
