If I could, I would have left a 3.5 rating. However, I felt that the staff warranted the 4. The staff was very courteous and extremely helpful. We go adjacent rooms and wanted to open the doors between the rooms. One door’s lock was stuck. Maintenance came promptly to fix the issue. I called the front desk to request towels and was told that we needed to wait for quite some time as no one would be there to back up the front desk person, but we were told we could go the the front desk. After making the decision to go down, the front desk had the towels waiting for us. As with most of California, we are short-staffed. And I could tell that this hotel was. Staff is really doing a great job considering.||The room is very spacious. There is plenty of workspace with some great cubbies above the desk to store things. The closet is awesome with shelves and even a laundry basket to organize your belongings. The loveseat sofa becomes a full size bed. I thought the sofa bed and the bed would leave no space to walk, but there have been no issues. The bed is comfortable. The only issue I had was the height. As a short person, I had to climb the bed. The bed does not shake as much as other beds when someone mounts the bed or adjusts positions. The kitchenette would have been perfect should we had chosen to do so. There is even an ice maker in the refrigerator. Just remember to turn it on early enough. There are plenty of plugs to charge all your devices. The bathroom was acceptable. I am not quite sure when the hotel was refreshed last. The toilet seat and shower were worn and had cosmetic damage to some places. I always like when amenities are dispensed. You do not have to worry about leaving enough for everyone else. Plus, I feel it is more environment friendly. The AC is strong. I did notice that one room’s AC was controlled by the unit while the other room was controlled by a thermostat. ||The breakfast gives patrons a very good variety and has a little bit of everything for anyone. There were two types of juices. There two types of egg selections. Sausage was also offered. Fruit and yogurt were offered, as well as oat meal. There was a small variety of bread and pastries. Coffee and tea were offered as well. For those who want milk, there were plain and chocolate varieties. Each person in the family had their needs met. The front desk person monitored the breakfast area, another sign this hotel is short-staffed. ||As an employee of a company that owns hotels, I really have to give props to the staff. We have separate staff for each area. I can only imagine the dedication the staff has to their hotel. It is so hard to fault the hotel staff for something they cannot control. While the hotel needs refreshing, it is clean and comfortable. I would stay here again if I am in the area. Any hiccups during a stay can be remedied by a...
Read moreI have stayed in several Towneplace Suites and been very happy with them. All clean, high value for money, efficient, and thoughtful. ||||This is stay is so bad, it prompted me to write a review WHILE I AM STILL HERE. ||||Upon Arrival, my room still had dirty dishes in the dishwasher. there was no dish soap and no dishwasher soap. The property, five days later still has no dish soap. The arm rest on the chair is broken, there is no laundry basket, the towels are much thinner than other TP suites I've stayed in. You should know as well that they let guests leave their bags of trash in the hallways and it can be days before they are picked up. It's kinda gross, to be honest. But it's a short stay and I know I can handle it for a weeek. I don't complain, because it's clear the hotel is full, Covid has probably left them short staffed, and because I'm a decent human being who doesn't abuse service staff. ||||I don't need housekeeping every day, so I made an appointment to have housekeeping come at a specific time (noting that I have to stop work, and take my dog who is limping on 3 legs as he awaits knee surgery, with me out of the room). I always leave a generous tip for the maid as though they came every day. ||||I leave early, and I greet the maid politely with a smile in the hallway and let her know I'm out of the room (ten mins early I might add). I wait an hour (even though they told me it would be 45 mins) to give her extra time. ||||I get back, AND MY ROOM ISN'T CLEAN. What is the point of you calling me to offer me room service at a given time, especially when I explain I have to take my dog out of the room and miss an hour of work? What is actually wrong with you? It would have been better if you never called at all? ||||The wifi in this hotel is barely enough to run a zoom call, the washers and dryers are filled with garbage and lint (and unlike other TP suites, still requires quarters). The breakfast is way sub par with limited options and many days no fresh fruit, even. ||||If you look at my history, I write stellar reviews. I am not hard to please. This was one of the worst stays in my life and I've stayed at a lot of hotels. ||||I will never stay here again. Marriott, I hope...
