King's Homemade Ice Cream — Restaurant in Milton

We just went there (in Milton) for a special frozen treat this evening. My kids are dairy free and the two young ladies working were unsure if the water ice was completely dairy free. They went the extra mile to contact the owners, who make the water ice on site, to confirm that my kids could enjoy one (or both) of the two options available, which they could. The service was great they helped in every way I asked. I've passed this place a million times on my way to the beach and swore I would one day stop and try it. I finally made the stop, and I'm glad I did. The store was super chilly, which on a hot summer day would be a welcome change. The young people working there were friendly and helpful. They made excellent recommendations. Our ice cream was yummy as well as our waffle cones. It was a nice touch being able to sit on the bench out front and car watch, but there is additional seating next to the building if you don't want to be front and center. The ice cream was fine, not great, but average. The scoops were small, but forgivable. The banana split was half a banana, three small scoops, two toppings (the hot fudge was not hot) no whipped cream, nuts, or cherry. Again, not a deal breaker.
