I used to go to the Willys by Emory in N. Druid Hills all the time. I loved it, it's like a good version of Chipotle or Moe's. So I figured I'd try the one that opened up on Windward when my mother was looking for a new place. It was disgusting. Bad enough I won't chalk it up to one off day.
I don't know if the other locations have changed but this was worse than "mall food court" tex-mex.
I felt bad for the poor girl working there, the guy that seemed to be her supervisor kept walking into the back while there was a line. Only having 2 people at dinner time seemed odd at a restaurant and I can sympathize with the dead look in their eyes but it was unnecessarily disorganized since she was the only one consistently helping customers.
I had the Adobe chicken and I will say it wasn't entirely disgusting but old and hard to chew and in big concentrated clumps, not spread out at all. My mother had the Baja burrito and ended up throwing it away after at least attempting to get our money's worth. The only thing that actually tasted good was the guacamole.
I definitely will never go to this location, being the only experience my mother had at a Willys she probably will never go to one again. I'd have enjoyed eating $20 more than my food here.
I have no idea how there are so many 5* reviews for...
Read more7/6/2019 -EF- Update ... Mario (GM) called med shortly after seeing this review. He spent time speaking with me, understanding the complaint, & verifying my order. Mario put his best effort forward to rectify this order, even offering to deliver a new order to my home. His response exceeded expectations and is appreciated. I will return to this location, and give the staff another shot. Especially, knowing they are putting forth every effort to improve customer service & experience. Thanks, Mario. See you all soon!
7/6/2019-original review- Totally disappointed in Willy's today. My family ordered via Doordash, and the order arrived on time. HOWEVER, we ordered a Baja Burrito and Build Your Own Tacos (veggie). We received the Baja Burrito and a Build Your Own Burrito (not Tacos), which is a major difference, because what everyone may not eat the same things on tacos that they would put into a burrito.
I'm not sure if they skipped/ran out of seasoning today, but the meals are bland.
Also... the produce was poorly prepped today. Coleslaw has huge chunks of cabbage. Lettuce is not shredded but rather salad size. Onions are not grilled (raw). Finally, my guacamole literally has a large piece of the...

This restaurant is ALOT like Moes or Moes is ALOT like Willy's. I believe Willy's was founded first. Either way, at both restaurants you walk up to the counter, go down the line and build your order, pay at the end of the counter and seat yourself wherever. Both businesses have extremely similar business models in my opinion, however, that is not a negative.
The one item that stuck out differently to me on Willy's menu was their Frito Burrito! This bad boy has adobe chicken, rice, black beans, sour cream, Chipotle ranch and Frito chips! You read that right... FRITO LAY CHIPS! I felt like I had stepped into heaven and I was eating a burrito with Jesus! The Frito chips definitely added a nice little crunch to the burrito from the inside out. My meal was $8.88 which came with a small brown paper bag of tortilla chips.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the burrito and would highly recommend it to anyone that loves big burritos and Frito Lay chips! I will definitely be stopping in again soon to try their fish tacos. I'm all about fish taco! Keep up the excellent...
