Donut Squad — Restaurant in Milwaukee

Kind of an odd place. Low on doughnuts despite coming in at 7:30 a.m. (only 1.5 hours after they opened), didn't serve real coffee (think attempting to make/serve Folgers-type coffee for a doughnut shop), and the only creamer was a small basically empty shaker canister of Coffeemate powdered creamer. Was told that was all they had left. Again, not great for a doughnut shop, especially only after being open for 1.5 hours. Doughnut I got was just ok. They look neat and have creative looking flavors, but the doughnut I got was nothing to write home about. Only 1 flavor of filled doughnut left, and it was something odd and unappealing such as peanut butter and jelly (can't recall exactly) or something like that. The business and concept has potential, but need a more functional shop. My overall take away was that I was hoping for a tasty treat to splurge on and ended up being rather disappointed. Called at noon to place an order for 3 dozen mixed donuts to be picked up at 630 am the next day. Donuts were packed and ready to go at pickup, and service was friendly. Donuts were AMAZING. Out of 36 donuts, there were at least 12 different kinds including various cereals and candy bars. My 30 or so coworkers, who are donut connoisseurs of sorts, were all blown away, and everyone asked where I got them. Sure, they were a bit pricey.. About 70 for 36..
