Dream Lab — Restaurant in Milwaukee

I came to Dream Lab for the first time ever on Thursday after being referred by a friend who is a frequent visitor. I can say with confidence that Dream Lab has quickly become one of my favorite local spots in Milwaukee. I have been back three times since Thursday because I have had such a great experience. Dream Lab has something for everyone, whether you are looking for coffee, drinks, hookah, local art or even a place to get some work done. As someone who is 21 months sober from alcohol I can say it is difficult at times to find places in the city that are very inclusive to non-alcohol drinkers and I am excited to share that the owner Shawn has created an environment where everyone can feel comfortable and can have a great time. I am absolutely going to be a regular here and can not wait to share this hidden gem with my friends...

I've been curious about this place for months since I walk my dog past it most days. My SO and I found ourselves in the neighborhood last evening and stopped in.

We were warmly greeted and quickly served by an ultra-casual employee and made our way to some window seats to read and do some coloring in the available adult coloring books.

The entire space lives up to the name - Dream Lab - with local art on the walls, a fantastic mural and plenty of drawing prompts/journals, creative games, and the like to inspire the day dreamer or inner artist. More than that, it felt like a real hangout - even a living room - where folks can be themselves and have some beverages while doing so. Short form: super cool place, great atmosphere, good coffee, awesome owner

So I went here relatively recently for the first time. The interior is super cool and chill; cool art, super awesome aesthetic, and 90s rap playing. If you're a bob Ross fan, they have it playing on the TV all the time They also have games and books to read; I got super excited seeing a bunch of goosebumps books there. We went there to get coffee. I got an iced coffee with a shot of caramel syrup in it, and it was very good. It was high quality coffee that was roasted right; bad and/or burned coffee makes me sad lol. We met the owner (he's the one that made us our coffees) and he's super cool as well. He told us the background about the place while he showed us the whole store. He also HAS AN ADORABLE DOG NAMED...
