like a magpie spotting a shiny penny, it was love at first sight; this weird, kitchsy, place is chocked full of unique items that are both obviously and questionably antique. i went around christmas, so it was full of various santa claus figurines and other decor, but i don't know if they change their wares for every season. maybe there's just always an obsessive number of santas.
you better hope that you aren't looking for anything in particular however, as it's very unorganized. it adds to it's charm, though.
most everything is reasonably priced; i got a tiny "lassie" book with pictures for $3 and an old lobster-claw bracelet that looked like a string of cranberries for $5.

I know it's supposed to be an art & antique store, but with so many vintage items for sale, we consider it an antique shop. We go to 50 or 60 different antique shops throughout the Midwest each year, and it's nice to hear Oldies or Classic Rock playing on the radio while we're shopping. Farm Girl Art & Antiques forces people to listen to country/western music quite loudly while they shop. Needless to say we try to endure the environment and get through the place as fast as we can.
