O'Brien's Irish-American Pub — Restaurant in Milwaukee

This is our neighborhood favorite. The food is really good, and the portions are healthy. I have yet to be disappointed with the appetizers. My go-to picks are the mac and cheese balls, the mini corndogs, and the pretzel bites with cheese. The Reuben rolls and chicken tenders are not to be missed either! The weekly burger special and the bi-weekly Mexican specials are reasonably priced and delicious. George's salsa is to die for! Beware the nacho plate is huge! Be sure to bring a friend or three to help you with the belly-filling app. The shepherd's pie is a winner, and the pizzas really do the trick. The staff is friendly, the drinks are tasty, and kitchen knows their stuff! My family and I visited from out of town and had a great experience! The food and service was on point!! The kids had fun playing all the games. Best of all, the act of kindness from our sweet service topped it all. We were heading to the Brewers game and my bag was too big. Rather than having to go back to our hotel and then back downtown, our server offered to keep my bag behind the bar and offered her little clutch for me to take my essential items. When returning back to the pub from the shuttle that they provide, she met me with my bag and was happy to have helped. Thank you so much for your kind gesture! On Saturday evening I purchased 4 meals. 3 corned beef and a chicken sandwich with sides for family and friends. I passed all the food out but the three corned beef meals were disgusting. It was so bad after a few bites, we gave the meat to the dogs or tossed it completely. The tator tots and fries were also overcooked. I was so disappointed because I was hungry and had eaten there before and it was good. The same exact meal. I called to complain and due to the holiday weekend the kitchen was already closed and they wouldn't be open until Tuesday and promised I'll get a call. Well I didn't get a call. The food was gross.
