Toppers Pizza — Restaurant in Milwaukee

Ordered delivery at 11:13 pm on 5/19/2024 with instructions to leave on the table at the back door which never arrived. 77$ worth of food and a 17$ tip so now I'm out 106$ with nothing to show for it. Called this location and was referred to the manager who immediately had a unapologetic and monotone attitude towards me before even explaining my side of the story. The manager claims that she personally verified the address and that the driver took a picture of the delivery and "did not see anyone nearby who could potentially take my order". This is a lie because upon immediately receiving a text message notifying me the delivery was made I checked outside and saw nothing. My roommate checked up front towards the street and saw the toppers delivery car parked several houses down and the driver was speaking to what appeared to be a homeless lady. Well me and my roommate go back inside and wait for the pizza camping out near the door inside our house and after 10 minutes of peeking outside in and out still nothing. This was the middle of the night and to reach our door you would have to climb up the noisy old wooden stairs and also walk past a sensor which switches on the outdoor light so we would of certainly noticed when the delivery driver arrived but the manager still claims the delivery was made and there was nothing they could do. I tried to ask and see if I could verify this photo via text and the manager declined citing "safety" concerns. I asked if I could go to the store in person and have them show me the photo over the counter and again the manager claimed I could "snatch the phone out of her hand and steal it". I get that you guys deal with a lot of scammers but I have ventured through every available avenue and the manager still refuses to compromise even a little bit let alone proving to me that the delivery was made with the alleged evidence they have. And it's not like the police will do anything about it if I call they have more serious matters to deal with so here I am screwed out of 100$ and with no further options to claim some of my money back or even the food (not that I trust this place to make my food at this point anymore). The last 3 times I purchased food from this location its been horrible. I always order a meat lovers. When I receive it there's no meat on it. I didn't get a chance to call because they were closing soon and didn't answer the phone. The last time I ordered 12/13/2020 lord behold the same problem.

12/12/2020 Food never came, I call to Toppers they tell me I didn't order any food. They have no record of me ordering but yet $18.03 was pending on my bank account for the foot. Finally they tell me after calling them 3 times after telling me to call another toppers to tell me that I didn't answer the phone and that my food was back at toppers.

The driver never came into my place of employment to drop of the food. He called while outside, I couldn't answer he left. He could've dropped it off at the front which where I was sitting. NOT ONE ATTEMPT WAS MADE!!!

Talked to Dan about the problem, he said he was placing my order same as before this is about 10 pm. Food never came, I called back, and was told they had no order in the system for me. Asked to speak the manager, Dan asks me what did I want. I told him the same order I placed the first time. A meat lovers small pizza with ranch dipping sauce. The driver arrives at 1:00 am now its been almost 5 hours since the first order to arrive with a cheese pizza with jalapenos on it and NO MEAT!!!

Talked to Dan again, he said he thought I said cheese pizza with jalapenos. When i asked for the order i Never received

What a terrible experience. Ordered pizza for the family around 6 tonight. Everything was fine and dandy. hour and a half goes by and we call wondering where our nasa engineered pizza went. I mean possibly they wanted to pick the freshest tomato they could? I have no idea. They said they had the wrong address and the wrong phone number (highly unlikely since we literally just gave the information to them an hour ago.) So, after giving them the benefit of the doubt... we said sure we will take the free pizza no problem. ANOTHER HOUR GOES BY and still no pizza. no call. SO, we gave them another call. they said the reason was that we are not in their area to deliver. Let me tell you, we live literally 3 miles away from them. Honestly if i could give a negative 5 stars i would. Never go here if you are in a time crunch, have kids with a decent bedtime or anything for that matter. toppers just seems to be a place that hands out free coupons. Wonderful franchise here folks.

Ordered from pizza shuttle instead. right next to toppers. got it in less than 30 minutes. I know where i'll be taking my business.

UPDATE: 2 1/2 hours after the initial call. Delivery driver just pulled up as we are enjoying our other pizza (awkward) poor driver... they don't even...
