No dignity, no respect! Truly egregious unacceptable behavior.
I understand it is extremely challenging running a business after the pandemic most establishments did not survive. However, mistreatment of customers is unacceptable..
Unfortunately, after 13 years I will no longer patronize this restaurant.
My mom has purchased over $450 worth of gift cards from this establishment.
Two months ago I pulled up shortly after 11 AM and the door was open and I entered the restaurant and in unison Frank or Frankie and Marjorie said “we’re not open yet”, so I turned around and left although the door was open and it was after 11.
No problem.
A few days ago I called and wished to order a pizza for pick up the woman on the phone named Marjorie said hold on I was on hold approximately two minutes and I hung up. (No pizza no call back.)
Today I called and I happened to be right in the neighborhood and Marjorie or Marge picked up and said hold please so about 30 seconds went by. I happened to be pulling up out in front so I hung up and got out and entered the establishment.
At this point it is after 11 AM and I entered the restaurant and I said “hey what’s up are you guys open!?!”, because before they had the door open and they told me they were closed.
The unhinged, elderly lady Marjorie in a very unhinged and authoritative voice said “yeah, we open” in a condescending and mocking AAVE manner. Then goes on to say “the door was open isn’t it? Yeah we open.”
Remember the last time I came shortly after 11 they said that they were closed and the door was open so I just asked if they were open and then I asked if they wanted business because every time I’ve called the last two times I’ve been put on hold for a while and not in non-confrontational manner.
She went on hinged confrontationally saying all the things that she has to do. I am a long time customer my mom has bought over $450 worth of gift cards for Aurora healthcare first responders.
It was very unprofessional, and I will NEVER be back to this establishment. I see why they’re on the news requesting for people to come and work because no one probably wants to work with her!!!
No dignity, no respect! Truly egregious...
Read moreI brought my family (1 adult & 5 kids) to Zaffiro's after visiting the Discovery Museum, I had a feeling it would be a great place to relax and based on the name thought perhaps I would find some traditional St.Louis style pizza (thin). This thought was pleasantly affirmed both the pizza and atmosphere where reminiscent of trips to lesser known pizza places on the hill.
The pizza was by our standards near perfect a cracker thin crust, a thin smear of sweet dense, smooth, tomato paste, and carries a light layer of cheese. We are used to an additional layer of provolone, would have posted this into the perfect zone. Two hungry kids could easily eat a medium or large, so keep that in mind, particularly if your kids are pizza hogs like mine. .
Service was fantastic with a single caveat, the server went out of his way to make a salad (though iceberg only) that was gluten free for my nephew who has celiac disease, which made him feel included and scored points with me. Now the caveat, I am a big tipper and would have left 20 - 25 % for the level of service we received; however, for parties of six or more GRATUITY IS INCLUDED AT 15%. When I received the bill I was fairly certain this was the case, but for whatever reason didn't really inquire or feel like doing the math that completely. I left a SIZABLE tip in person, and was NOT informed of the included gratis. Having been a young server at one time, I understand the "click your heels together feeling" one might get as a youth from such a circumstance; since our server was mature, I would have expected a disclosure even if it was printed on the menu. ;) Again, I really didn't mind being generous...just noting the lack of verbal disclosure.
All in all, this will be a a repeat stop for us, due to the traditional laid back atmosphere, service that was friendly and pizza that made me feel...
Read moreDelicious Italian, Bartender SUCKS. My friend and I ate here last night during the Broncos and Steelers game. Sat at bar because there was a wait. The bartender Ralph ignored us for about 5 minutes. He finally grudgingly came over and rudely asked what we wanted to drink. We each had a beer, a Miller Lite and a Blue Moon. He slung them at us without asking if we wanted a mug and didn't garnish Blue Moon with an orange slice. He didn't give us a menu or ask if we wanted anything else. My friend flagged a server and she gave us a menu. The servers were very busy but all pleasant, polite, and nice. Server took our order. We each had the lasagna with salad and bread. The food was delicious and was served in large portions. I definitely felt that I got my money’s worth. No one ever asked if we wanted anything else to drink. Bartender flung at us once we were done "Want another beer?" and had already turned around before we could answer. Our server cleared our dirty plates and got us boxes for leftovers and asked if we needed anything else. As soon as we finished each of our beers, bartender Ralph snatched the bottles and shoved our food out of the way as he wiped the bar down before we had even been given check. It was obvious that he did not want us there. To top it off, he told me I was wrong when we talked about the end of the game arguing about the new overtime rules. I had just read the rules and was correct and he argued for about a minute until the game showed that it as over. I pointed it out to him, he made a unpleasant remark and walked off. Ralph the bartender is a real jerk to put it nicely. He had a bad attitude from the start. He was never that busy to act so inconvenienced for doing his job. I'll definitely eat here again. My wife and I each like their food and atmosphere. But I'll NEVER eat at...
