Literally the best Thai food I have ever had. My whole family (who hails from Asia) absolutely love it, too. Not to mention, I've been to the motherland (Thailand) and this restaurant still reigns supreme - no other restaurant I've ever tried in the U.S. even comes close.
I've been coming here for well over a decade, and I've consistently received flawless food. The people who work here are so friendly as well! They always get our orders right, and our food always comes in a timely manner.
PLEASE NOTE: They do "Asian spicy" here (because it's an authentic restaurant, duh), so don't be upset if you specifically order spicy food and can't handle it.... Looking at you, white people... If you're unsure, I'd order a 1 or 2 on the spicy scale - they can always make it more spicy if needed. For anyone who actually can handle their spice, well, the sky is the limit. My brother-in-law consistently orders a spice level of 15 here (which would send most people straight to Dante's inferno). I get a 5-6 usually, and I can handle my spice pretty well. Proceed with caution. For what it's worth, though, the food tastes amazing. Even if you order a dish that's too spicy, you'll want to keep eating through the pain because it's just that good.
I usually go with curry (panang or massaman are my go-to) and a thai iced coffee, but I've tried mulitple dishes and I've always been impressed by the complexity of flavors in each one.
Overall, 11/10. Cannot...
Read moreI don't know if this was the usual for here or not, as it was our first time here. My wife and I did not have a good experience while we dined in. We got a table pretty quickly. However, our waitress took about 10 minutes to take our order and seemed to not know the menu or care to understand what we wanted to order. My wife ordered a Thai tea and it took them almost 20 minutes to bring it to us. The appetizer took about 35-40 minutes to come out. It took over an hour to bring out our entree. When they brought my wife's Yum Talay (Spicy Seafood salad)- the picture below- this what was left after she picked out all the seafood. There was almost a whole red onion. Also each entree was brought out separate and when we asked if we could get the last two things "to go" because it was almost an hour and 15 minutes since we ordered. The waitress told us that it took so long because "they had other customers before us." There was one table that didn't have their food before we were ordered, as well as two tables that ordered after us that got their food before us.
Also the food was not...
Read moreThis is my favorite restaurant and has been for years. I'm surprised I've never written a review about this place. I live in VA now but when I return to Milwaukee I go to EE Sane's before I even go see my family.
First off, the staff is friendly and the customer service is great. They definitely make you feel welcome and remember you. The first time I went I got recommended the Volcano Chicken, it was fire, then we tried some other things suggested before I settled in on my favorite dish. Geng Boombai! A 3 meat curry that is as delicious as it is awesome.
There wings are pretty good with the sauce and they satay ain't nothing to sneeze at either. But for me their spring/egg rolls are fire. Though I prefer them with the plum sauce.
Parking is the only thing I can say is the only thing I don't like about this place and it's not enough for me to even think about most times. I've always wanted to try some of the other places around there too... but you too close to EE-Sane and if I'm nearby, I know...
