Ya know I hate to say it but I just cant go back to this place for food. A couple weeks ago I wanted a burger and fries, love those huge orders of fries. But I didnt want to sit and wait even though I love eating the peanuts while waiting. So I called in an order. The girl told me "7-9 minutes". So I waited a good 5 or 6 minutes and headed out. Its just up the street so I figured three minutes to get there. I get there and pay for my order, the girl tells the cooks I'm there. I go sit at a table and dont get the peanuts cause I know my order is darn near done. And I wait, and wait. A couple customers come in, order and I wait. A couple more customers come in and order and I wait. By now the first people, the ones that came in after me are receiving their food. Fully 8 customers came in and ordered and got their food. I go up to the counter to ask whats up so the girl tells the cooks that I'm wondering about my order. "There is no order in that name". After a couple minutes of shuffling around back there they find my order on what is the left end of the prep table stuffed under this little shelf thingy. "Oh, I found his order". So much for the hot french fries. This was the second time I got delayed on a phoned in order and I just decided I wasnt going back. So, I just love those fries so I went back yesterday. 9/14. I order there at the restaurant, eat the peanuts, got my order rather quickly I must say and left with my good hot fries. I always get the bacon cheeseburger and large fries. I always eat all the fries first while they are cookin hot. I go to eat my bacon burger and get about 2/3rds of the way through it and I'm chewing and I'm thinking "man this one has some stringy beef in it" and I pull whatever it was out of my mouth and it was a frickin hair !!!!!!!! A big long hair !!!!!! It was about that time I was getting the visual of which employee that hair came from and I swear to god I just about blew chips thinking about it !!!!!!!!!. Read moreFirst, I should preface this review in saying I've been at this location about 20 times since its opening, had nothing but positive experiences and awesome food.
Enter tonight. The personnel were awesome, the cheeseburger was awesome, the fries and the presumed manager were not.
It started with a bite. Okay a little underwhelming, but for the sake of avoiding an unpleasant situation what does one do hoping their large fry lives up to the expectation that has kept you coming back for the past few years? You try, try, try again. The result remained consistent; The taste was bad, the texture was off (felt like the insides were uncooked soil).
After about five bites, I had enough. Figured okay, maybe it's not a good fry day. For the sake of simplicity, I asked to exchange what was left. I only touched on the scraps outside of the cup, and apparently the inside wasn't filled very well as Mr. Manager type was compelled to illustrate and try to tell me that I ate too many.
Please. When I go to Five Guys and order my Double Cheeseburger and Large Fry, I'm practically full before I even get to the cup. This experience definitely filled me up with something else though, a lot of rage and a lot of hate. When Mr. Manager type was insistent that he was denying my return and I was at a loss for words, my death-stare spoke louder and he finally obliged (Though leaving me without a receipt so I'll have my eyes on this like a hawk out of principle).
We had a good ride, but I suspect it'll be a while before I come back to Five Guys when I wanna eat out, much less recommend it or treat others to it the 95%+ of the time...
Read moreIf I was able to get zero Stars I would the behavior of the front counter guy was atrocious, I place a call in order was told to they don't make it till I get there and pay which is fine. I get inside and to the counter and tell the young man how called in an order, he looks around comes back and just says no. I was confused no what? He says we don't have your order yo have the wrong store. I explained that I indeed called this store. He huffy and puff starts giving me attitude and saying we don't have any order for you. So asked him to please check again. So he finally realized They had the order saved in the computer for when I arrived. The kid looks at me and says I should have told him that I called it in (which is what I told him) I was a little annoyed by this point but said nothing. I get my milkshake and it's the wrong kind, I told I ordered strawberry and this is chocolate, he the rolls his eyes very clearly and huffs and puffs to make me a new one which he very rudely slammed in on the counter. I'm still polite at this point. I get my food and i go home and is 1 burger is completely incorrect and then the fries omg the worst fries I've ever tasted they had to be well past their hold times they just tasted super old. I'm not going back there because of the attitude of they kid at the counter and because the food sucks now. I also saw no Manger around. Just so disappointed I'll never spend my hard earned money at 5...
