Was so happy to take my son out to eat on the 4th of July and try something new to us. The service was okay, we did get our drinks and food in a timely manner. My 5 year old had the grilled cheese sandwich with curly fries and apple juice and I had the taco salad. His sandwich was burnt in one side and barely cooked on the other side. My taco salad had good flavor; but the meat to lettuce ratio was completely off. I had way more lettuce than I did meat. When I asked about extra meat so I could finish my food; I was told there was a $3 charge for more meat. I was already charged an extra $3 for cheese and sour cream. Which any other place you get a taco salad; those are things that actually come with the salad at NO extra charge. After I asked about the extra meat; our waitress never came back to our table. She had only checked on us one time during the whole time we were there. Probably close to an hour we were there. I had to ask another young lady for a to go cup and asked the young man who sat us about the meat because our waitress never came back. I am very disappointed in the food and the service after this place was highly recommended to me by a friend and local from here. This will be the only time that I will visit this restaurant. The price of the food for what we got was outrageous. I paid $30 for a half burnt half uncooked sandwich and a taco shell that was too sweet that I couldn't even eat and a shell full of more lettuce than meat. And I'm still hungry on top of everything. My son wanted ice cream too; but with the service and prices; we opted out of the ice cream. For a shake, it was almost $9 and $4 for a jr cone or cup. Just way to overpriced for the quality of food that was served. No one offered to make it right as I left the entire shell half full of lettuce. And the young man who brought our drinks and sat us, rang me up and he just kinda dropped the change in my hand instead of handing it to me. They were nice at first but apparently turned rude after a complaint. Not very good customer service. And I have been in customer service industry for over 25 years and that is not how you should treat a paying customer. Especially if you expect a tip. But the place had a nice diner feel to it. But everything else was sadly a...
Read moreLet me start by saying that I really wanted to like this place! It had good reviews, and when you walked in it has this really neat vintage decor and fun vibe. Burgers are made from real meat and are okay priced especially with that being known but they had no seasoning in the meat except grease. There is a fair amount of nickel-and-diming on the menu. I know with smaller businesses cost add up fast, but it was a bit excessive. You will also pay to use your credit card, but again I completely understand that. The issue became when the waitress took down our basket of fries order wrong. We asked for curly fries, and when the food came out it was regular fries. We told the "food drop off" fella that that was wrong, and he just held the ticket up and said that's what's written here. Yes, we figured that, but again, that's not what we ordered. So he tried to take it back to the kitchen to have them swap it out. The kitchen refused to swap it out. So he brought back out to our table the same fries he took back to the kitchen. Which by the way the basket was only half full and they charged us over $6 for it. We're talking the little red baskets here. The fries also had no seasoning. So basically, the person who took the order wrote it down wrong, but the business was not willing to make it right. Fries are a very small cost item for the restaurant which compounded to me the lack of customer service for this issue. I will say we got asked multiple times if we need drink refills. Unfortunately, I won't be back though. With a half basket of fries at over $6 that they can't even correct their mistake on.. It just leaves a bad taste in...
Read moreSo here’s the deal. We were a group of 8, we were sat very quickly. We had one lady take drink orders, they were delivered quickly. Then this older blonde woman came to take our orders…that’s when it went sideways. Basically THEY FORGOT TO PUT IN OUR ORDER and then LIED to us about it because there is no way it takes that long to cook eggs…. was at least an hour before we got our food…. There were 3 other table that came in after our order should have already been cooking that got food and FINISHED and left before we got ours. They struggled so hard that they literally brought the food out one or two plates at a time (as they were finished)
Then the condescending waitress came over “oh honey it’s coming it’s coming I can show you the times, it’s cooking it’s cooking” while TOUCHING me and my friend without our permission. DO NOT TOUCH PEOPLE WITHOUT PERMISSION. And the food STILL took 15 MORE minutes. Then someone else came to cash out our table they added a 20% gratuity -not mentioned on the menu like it should be “20% gratuity added for party for 6 or more” simple- she rolled her eyes when we wanted it split- something that should have been asked in the beginning.
Mind you all of this attitude we got and lies we were told and they way they made us feel unwelcomed… all we did was ask “we’re just wondering about our order as these two tables came in after and have already eaten and paid” the the attitude came out.
BAD SERVICE FROM...
