I don't want to leave a one star just because I did get a refund, but the interaction was pretty bad. My husband went in for two coffees and when he brought them and out and we tried them, the taste was really really burned and off putting. The two coffees cost us 17$ and I asked him if maybe we should get a refund of we couldn't drink them and we agreed that would be best. So I walked back in with both coffees and greeted the woman at the counter who was initially quite welcoming. I didn't know how to nicely say that the coffees were awful, so I figured honesty was the best way to go. I said "I'm really sorry to ask this of you, but these coffees taste really bad. Can I possibly get a refund? " She looked absolutely stunned that I would ask and immediately said "well we really don't do refunds " I said "Oh. Okay- " she interrupted "well I know that nothing is wrong with them so it must be you guys. " I was a little put off by that statement but I didn't want to offend her further. I started to say something else but she cut me off again and said "you know what I'll just refund you but we really don't do refunds". I said "thank you for making an exception , I really appreciate it. " She processed my refund and handed me my receipt. I said thank you and turned around to walk out and also said "have a good day" to which she replied "Ohhhh yeahhhh you too." Then as I got to the door she started complaining about how I hated their coffee to another man there with customers by the register.

Ma'am- I know you're going to read this and I just want you to know that an apology from you and an offer to fix it may have been a little better than blaming us for tasting it wrong. It's okay to recieve criticism on something , and the way you respond is everything. I was not trying to offend you but also would be doing you a disservice if I was not honest. Hopefully you don't treat everyone who respectfully requests a resolution to an issue the same as...

Do not expect craft coffee. This is not good coffee unless you like yours burnt with the only flavor being unsweetened baking chocolate (bitter) or have it sweetened to the point you can’t tell too much about the coffee flavor. This place is selling their coffee as premium: $22 per 12oz bag. I bought 3 bags, each with detailed descriptions of the flavor profiles but none exhibited the claimed flavors. Although you’d have to take my word on the flavor, you can see in the pictures that the coffee is over roasted (the bags claim light to medium roast but are clearly very dark) and the grind is too coarse. I asked for a drip grind because I was traveling and didn’t have my grinder with me. Don’t waste your money here, cheaper bags at the grocery store taste just as good if not better than this (think 8 O’clock or Peet’s). Or you can get premium coffee for cheaper from other Texas roasters that will ship to you (Think Eiland or Cuvée).

A response to the owners response:

You don’t know what’s being shown in the pictures? It’s over roasted coffee that you advertised as light and medium roast and sold at a premium cost. $8 would be a fair price for your coffee, not $22. And I should have told you fine grind? Fine grind is for espresso - I told you to grind for drip which is a medium grind. To anyone who knows craft coffee, the pictures speak for themselves. And all shops use a Bunn grinder? No. Craft shops typically use Italian or German made grinders such as Ceado. Your business reply reveals a lack of understanding basic craft coffee. My review is a warning for people looking for craft. Not everyone wants craft, and I hope that those people ignore my review and keep going to your shop. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry...

They are the most welcoming and family friendly, outgoing and unique people! Mrs. Laura and her husband have become like family!!! Been doing our girls Bible Study here for about two years, they just welcomed us in without any hesitation! It’s a home away from home, a place to even do homework, hangout with friends and just do life! I stop in frequently throughout the week if possible bc I love Love this coffee, the funky and fun drinks you can create and the people!! It’s such a blessing! (Ps— they also do call in- orders so if you’re in a rush just give em a call and it’ll be ready!) of course, that doesn’t stop you from the conversation you’ll probably wanna have w Mrs. Laura bc like I said A-M-A-ZING and so caring and fun, and informational, ask her about the place and the history of it, as well as the local Baker Hotel right beside it! It’s so intriguing! The OWNERS are wonderful, and so is POTHOLE the cat who you will see lounging around on the couch or just roaming all about!! Again, it truly Doesn’t matter where you come from, tourist, local, whoever you are you are invited in and made to...

If you want good coffee and other traditionally made beverages as well as some nature minded food snacks that are irresistible, this is the place period I would say that it's the best coffee and Mineral Wells. The people in the place are very friendly they like to talk, and you'll find yourself engaged in a conversation. I thought I would make an addendum to this review. The husband is a very nice guy who will go out of his way to help you out, but the wife is a Little Bit Too Faced. She'll be all friendly and you have a blessed day - ish , but if you're hurting a little bit for change, she's all about the money and don't let anyone tell you different. found that out first-hand. I don't plan to change this review unless I see future actions to the contrary.

the coffee was expensive but it tasted really good and it’s in a giant cup so that helps! the workers are very nice and it’s such a cool shop! the only downside is that in order to use the bathroom, you have to walk through the kitchen, go down some rickety stairs, then walk through a storage room. and there was a cat in the kitchen????
