I would rate this place lower if I could. We chose this restaurant because we're local to Stephenville, and have had nothing but phenomenal experiences with the Pastafinas both there, and in Granbury. Apperently family owned doesn't mean family standardized.

We arrived and the parking lot was a ghost town. We joked; "either the service will be really good or really bad". If only I'd known.

I made my order in a very particular way. I'm autistic and struggle with textures. I told the server, this will be incredibly particular, and for that I'm sorry. "Ribeye marsala, fettuccini to replace the pasta it comes with, and instead of the marsala sauce on the pasta, I want the alfredo. I want the steak as it is. Cooked medium." That's a 25 dollar meal right there.

I was given well WELL done steak, no sauce on the steak nor the pasta and a bowl of alfredo on the side. My server asked how it looked and I told them it was wrong and she just.... walked away. Which is what she did EVERY TIME that I tried to speak with her. That is, before she just started ignoring me, and then eventually ignoring the entire table, and avoiding eye contact and any other form of nonverbal communication. As a matter of fact, my mother in law was the only one of us treated with any modicum of respect. That's to say nothing of the fact that she was chumming around with the servers and hosts, picking her ears (without washing her hands ew) and giving us "eat s--- and die" looks when she was told that we wished to speak with a manager.

My mother in law spoke with a cook and was told that my food would be remade. 15 minutes later my family is done eating and I'm just.... sitting there. My husband goes to speak to the manager and is told "well what do you want, I'm already gonna take one steak off."

We ended up not paying for my meal which was nice but....I almost would rather have paid to avoid this entire ordeal. Strongly advise against this place. Do yourself a favor, gonto braums right...

I have ate here before and it was alright like 3/5, but this last time we went was just a horrible experience. We went this afternoon wanting some Italian here in mineral welll that is the only Italian place. It started off with the bread was kinda hard and the butter was basically frozen that you couldn't even spread it. When it came time to order the waitress was either trying to hard or was just in a rush to get us in and out. We told her to give us a min that is basically all she gave us. Then while ordering I asked what came on a salad that didn't have a description to which she didn't know what came on it. So I order another one asked for what I didn't want on it. Got the salad with some of the iteams I didn't want and extra items I didn't even know came on it. We get our main corsets we order and my boyfriend's just wasn't good. He says the meat was bland. I asked is it worth the price and he said no. So while waiting for the waitress to return we decided to pay for his salad which he ate and the appetizer and our drinks. Basically all the items we ate to that point. The calzone seemed alright that I ordered, but I didn't want to eat where he wasn't. I tried to explain this to the owner, but he hardly got past the fact that we said we didn't like the tilapia shrimp alfredo and my salad was a complete mess up from what I wanted. He got very upset with us started taking the plates off the table and rudley asked us to leave and never come back because we quote, "insulted him". We tried to pay but he was rude. I mumbled something about us trying to be nice as we went out the door and he made a point to follow us out harassing us on our way out. Just not what you should expect from a manager much...

We are traveling back home after a weekend of exploring and enjoying the PK Lake area. With no plans for lunch we thought we'd drive until something caught our attention. We saw Pastafina in Mineral Wells and figured we could each be satisfied with pizza or a pasta dish.

Our server Madi greeted us quickly, answered all our questions about the menu cheerfully and made a couple suggestions based upon our preferences.

The bread was delicious. We each got a side salad with their house dressing and agreed it was both unique and tasty. One of our party got Lasagna, two got Chicken Damabianca (one the GF version) and I got the Arabiatta with sausage. We couldn't have been more pleased in our choices.

Finally, Madi took the time to help us with suggestions about the area, other places to see and enjoy the next time we're in town (we're already planning a return trip) and even wrote a list of the things she told us about. She is a wonderful server as well as a great ambassador for the entire area....

Pastafina has many great things to offer. We came here during a non-busy time of day. Their customer service greets you with a kind smile. Their rolls and desserts were fantastic and were the highlights of the experience. Kudos to whoever is running the bakery. The kitchen and customer service could use improvement. For example: Normally Ziti has 3 or four cheeses, but this Ziti only had 2. Also, the sauce was a bit watered down with more of a liquid consistency. This could be improved by adding the proper amount of ingredients and ensuring quality texture and taste. The customer service also has room for improvement with prioritizing customer relations, anticipating the person's needs, and making room for conversation. I believe if Pastafina becomes intentional in taking a few extra steps of love, they could easily be a 5 star restaurant. I encourage Pastafina to take note and observe their current protocols. I will be returning for a second experience. 4/5 stars, I recommend.

Brick fired pizza, traditional pasta dishes. Pet peeve... wine is pricy, and if you're gonna charge a premium, at least chill it accordingly and serve it properly. Serving room temp wine in a hot restaurant is unacceptable. No one else was drinking it.. cause it was 30 bucks a bottle, and normally a 7-10$ retail....jeees.. lower the price some and move it, instead of displaying it..(unless making 1.80 on a 2.00$ soda is better profits). Whatever... Margherita pizza was served with red sauce, not olive oil, ?? It's olive oil NOT red sauce!!) skimped on cheese, but the Alfredo was served properly. Server was very pleasant, crowd seemed to be very local and talked and greeted many flowing in and out picking up orders. Drove 30 miles to visit and try. Likely to return to try parts dishes, they looked inviting...
