I've been eating here since they used pulled chicken (it was amazing), before they switched to only chicken thighs (a definite step down). First, a portion of chicken smaller than half of a small avocado is outrageous for the price. I had to dig to find them. The restaurant told me “three strips are what we put in the bowls.” 2.5 at best, and this is raised up towards the camera a bit. Second, the beans in this dish were ice cold. the bowl was lukewarm, which i thought was weird, since it got here so fast, but it was because some of it came straight out of the refrigerator, with no prep. no seasoning, tasted like canned beans, but ice cold. Of the last 5 times I have ordered from here, 4 of those times have been sub par or terrible (once, i got no chicken at all). The last time I went to get food, it was summer and when I stepped in, the windows/doors were open, but the food was not covered and flies were crawling all over it. I immediately walked out. I waited until now to try again and I just don’t trust that the food is safe to eat with cold food and hot food mixed, since their food is assembled off a buffet-type set up behind the counter. kudos to the restaurant for not being jerks when I called- Unfortunately, I just can't stand behind this place anymore. If I find out they've sorted out the quality issues, I may give them another shot, but I hate wasting food, i hate wasting money, and this place has gone majorly downhill. I hope they figure it out, because this stuff could make a place go under, and gluten free restaurants need to be more prevalent.

We went to Brim right after renting a canoe for an hour on Bde Maka Ska. We chose the place because it was basically right next door to the canoe rental facilities, and because the menu is entirely gluten-free! We had worked up a bit of an appetite so we were looking forward to trying this place out. The decor is trendy and clean feeling--think grey, millennial pink, and succulent walls. It was a pleasant place to have brunch. My husband got the Breakfast hash, I got the Breakfast bowl, and together we split a side of focaccia and pesto. The focaccia was wonderful, made by Sift (I think) but warmed up here to be dipped in the amazingly fresh-tasting pesto. My husband really liked his hash (lots of sweet potato in it) with poached eggs. I had mixed feelings about my bowl, as the pickled veggies were unexpectedly spicy (and I can handle lots of pickled things)! But it felt like a nourishing meal, nevertheless. Good chunks of avacado and cooked sweet potato. They have lots of different kinds of bowls and sandwiches that seem nutritious that I would like to come back and try sometime. The service wasn't anything special, but the staff members were friendly and helpful enough. Over all, I would recommend this place and like to try it again! A great find for those who have to eat gluten-free, but definitely the sort of place where those who can consume gluten can also be happy. Also note: they serve brunch until (I believe) three in the afternoon! Which is great because why would anyone eat anything other than breakfast food?

So I am from Chicago and I have a lot of food sensitivities. I discovered this place researching different vegan restaurants in the area. This place literally accommodates in his very clean and lean and very healthy. You can even write down in the description what you do and do not like. The order I made literally had one of each dessert for me and my partner to try. And I literally drive for hours just to go here from Benson lol so I know it's worth it. The beef chipotle and egg sandwich was df and gf. My bf had it and couldn't believe it. He said it was the best sandwich he's ever had by far which he is picky. Crunchy on the out side, and perfect inside but not oozing out. They know their ratio. As for me i had the veggie sammy and my god. Drop dead fire. Same concept. Even the purple crunch on the side was a bomb touch to the textures. Also super crunchy. I was impressed. Even the large beets and greens...don't get me started. All clean and lean, the hummus tastes authentic, low spices and not gross oils. Literally what a divine flavor. They had vday chocolate hearts and they hooked me up with and extra one for the ride. It was by far the most decadent chocolate I've had in years. Im used to hu or enjoy life brand and it was so smooth and similiar It was df n gf to. z just a touch of happiness. Thank you brim for helping me...
