I just signed up for a free week and will be starting a membership here. The owner is really communicative, and I've had a great experience so far. The instructors somehow knew me by name and remembered me which was really sweet. I enjoy the barre workouts and the facility is nice and compact. The classes are great and easy to follow, lots of modifications offered.
The one piece of feedback I have is that the music situation is a bit awkward. I understand giving instructors freedom to play their own music + how BPM aligns with intensity, but it can be hard to hear the instructor's directions over the music. I have noticed several times they've had to talk at an uncomfortable volume. It seems like they're always going back and forth to adjust the volume in the middle of class. I would prefer house/electronic music since I would be able to hear the instructors better and provide a more consistent feeling across classes. Perhaps a spotify playlist like "yoga electronica" or "high energy yoga flows"? Again, maybe it's just me, but I have a hard time getting in the zone or meditating listening to Harry Styles or pop hits. Nothing against anyone's tastes! I just think it may be valuable for a studio to maintain a certain vibe.
Hope that was helpful, and again maybe it's just my preference! I have totally...
Read moreWhat a gorgeous new studio! I love yogafit - as a long time member I appreciate seeing the same caring teachers (some of whom are my friends now) and getting access to a variety of workouts with my one membership. From intense cardio and lifting classes, like HIIT and Burn, to ballet barre, to Vinyasa-style flows for all level yogis, all the way to the meditative stretches offered in Restore classes - they allow me a diverse daily practice unlike other studios or gyms. Also, members can access the studio to work out on their own time (utilize the weights / equipment and pump your jams while doing video classes) as YogaFit is a Snap Fitness franchise. Which means I can choose from all 5 locations to find the time/class combo that works for me and the mobile app/website they use for booking is so convenient! And since franchises really are small businesses, it’s pretty cool to see how involved the owner Ashok is - you’ll probably run into him sooner than later and he’s a great guy to chat up. Anyways, can’t say enough nice stuff about Yogafit and also this fresh new Uptown studio, with its two bathrooms, ample cubby space in the classroom, double full mirrored walls and gorgeous high ceilings. Definitely drop in to try a class and say hi if you...
Read moreI only have great things to say! I have been a member at YogaFit for almost 2 years after a friend of mine invited me to one of her classes (she got 2 passes a month to bring a friend, which you can get if you have a monthly membership). The teachers/trainers are all so nice and welcoming, they do their best to get to know you on a first name basis, and help you push yourself to do your best. The studios are always super clean, and they have additional yoga mats you can borrow if you forget yours. There are small details that are also appreciated like free tampons in the bathroom and free hair ties by the studio entrance. The price are extremely reasonable, especially when you compare to other yoga/workout studios that offer these kinds of classes. They often organize events/special classes at additional cost like puppy yoga that benefits a local animal shelter or fundraiser classes to help support different causes, which is such a great thing to do as a community. I have to leave because I am moving out of state but I can only hope I find a place as good as YogaFit in...
