I usually really enjoy Pizza Luce, but this time it came raw doughy and cold as a mofo. Usually, Pizza Luce’s has kind of a zing to their sauce this time however It was very bland. I’m really disappointed. I don’t Think I’m gonna come here anymore because the economy has food prices at an all-time high. I’m not going to waste anymore of my earned dollars on mediocre pizza and I’m being very generous by saying mediocre ! This Pizza just sucks. I’m literally rebaking my pizza because I’m so damn hungry. I can’t let it go to waste. Pizza Luce, you’re very wrong for this. Wow! Is all I can say. Wow and thanks for absolutely nothing. I just pray that cooking this pizza to its entirety will help and not make me sick. Because thinking about this is literally making me nauseous 🤮 I can’t believe that I have to bake my own pizza I might as well go to Papa Murphy’s at least there I know it’s gonna taste good and It’s going to be cooked proper. The only thing they do lately that is good is their delivery; your drivers are awesome. Everything else sucks. You lost a good customer. The first two photos are before and the last photo is how it’s supposed to look like. My order was #123 (seriously) of that same day I posted this. If they wanted to make this right they could. But yet they haven’t

I LOVE pizza Lucé ❤️🔥 I went there in a busy evening with my partner and friends after the Twin Cities Pride festival and the food was incredible! (As always). I love how Queer friendly this buisness is and their Raspberry lime mocktail is SO good 🍋‍🟩also super reasonably priced! Our server was Ryan and he was such a gem, so friendly and accommodating, a truly great guy :) I appreciated that a lot, especially with how he handled special food requests and allergy restrictions. Thanks Ryan! The host however is why I give this location 4 stars. The host we were greeted by with the face piercings was not very friendly and sat us at a table at 5:20pm asking us if we thought we could be done by 6pm because of a reservation and we said yes! But at 5:50pm we still hadn’t gotten our food (which is perfectly fine!! We knew it was busy!) but that host came by and told us to basically wrap it up for the reservation.. like hello… we hadn’t even gotten our food. Maybe check in with us in a polite manner or ask us if we wouldn’t mind moving? Like it was pretty rude. Maybe some customer service training could help with that. Our service Ryan helped us with figuring out the reservation issue though and it was all good! ❤️ Thanks again! 🍝

Glad I stopped in for dinner. Walking in I was greeted with a friendly smile from the hostess who gave me options to pick from as far as where to sit. I picked a hightop table in the bar area and it turned out to be a good choice. My server, who was also the bartender, was great. Friendly but not over friendly. Checked on me just the right amount and my coke was never empty. Im not sure of his name but if the owners check the reviews, he was the bartender with Steven Seagal look going on. Great service. Give him a pat on the back for me. I ended up getting a small build your own pizza and a small greek salad. They salad looked fantastic but the dressings oil to vinegar ratio was a bit off. The evoo flavor was a bit too strong without enough vinegar to give it a zing. I thought the crust on the pizza tasted good, seemed to be quality ingredients, but it was either in the sauce or perhaps the dough that had the strong evoo flavor as well. It was just a touch too much. And this is just personal preference, but I would have liked a little more sauce on the pizza. Everything still tasted great and all in all a solid 4.5 star experience.

This is hands down the MOST STUNNING vegan pizza we have ever eaten! It was deeply flavorful, didn’t have the weird textures so many vegan pies have, and we felt so satisfied after. We forgot it was vegan after the first bite.

The 12” was more than generous for two hungry people to share. The staff was extremely kind and the atmosphere was great—we got takeout, but we will absolutely be back to dine-in. The vegan eloté is the way to go—wow!

**This is our favorite place in Minneapolis—we’ve ordered here at least twice a month for nearly a year. Our last night in Minneapolis, after having sold our car before hopping on a plane, we tried to order delivery. We’ve had pizza Lucé delivered here before, but somehow we are now out of the delivery range. They said they couldn’t even find the address on a map (which is silly—google and Apple Maps send us here no problem.) We powerfully wanted this to be our last meal here, but the manager seemed to think I was crazy and that they’d never delivered to us. He picked up the phone and asked me what I wanted, I was flustered and asked if he knew what the situation was or if he needed me to tell him. He snapped that there were “no exceptions” and then he just sat there silent on the phone. I wish instead there had been some explanation for the delivery range changing, instead of receiving the treatment I did. I’m a genuinely kind person, and being met with people’s mistrust in others (mistrust in themselves) can be painful. It’s not the note we wanted to leave Minneapolis on, or how we wanted to remember our favorite pizza joint. We have been loyal customers with a ton of points racked up that we’ve never cashed in on. I’m from small town Southern US, and it’s really bittersweet when you live in a city that decides anonymity rules the roost rather than valuing the relationship to community members —we’ve converted many folks to Pizza Lucé while we’ve lived here, and happily spent a wild amount of money here, and we’ve been so sad to leave it behind. I hope folks decide to value the community connections in the future—we can choose it...

Debated writing this because it was hopefully just one bad day and we happened to exist during it, but I think it was odd enough to mention here. Not sure what the issue was besides maybe a terrible work day being taken out on us, but our waitress was very loudly talking about how she didn't want to be there and taking shots behind the bar. She would walk away WHILE we were ordering when she bothered coming over at all from behind the bar five feet away and roll her eyes at us for asking if we could order items that were listed on the menu. Her answer was always "no" or "you can read the menu right there." to see if we could order ciders within our line of sight. We did read that menu and she'd default to "no, we don't have that" when we could see the tap lines?? and of course read, which she was VERY insistent on us doing again and again as though we didn't have ample time to do so while she ignored us with zero other tables in her section (!!!), it was off-putting and bizarre. We were a walk-in on a very slow week day so maybe she was banking on having no tables at all? Unclear. The entire group is either currently waitstaff or has previously been in the biz and were all stuck not enjoying dinner wracking our brains to think of what we could have possibly done to make this person treat us so poorly and like a nuisance. It was a 150+ bill, and she went out of her way to let us know we were an inconvenience in a mostly empty restaurant. Originally we were going to order another pizza to go for our friends who couldn't meet us there but we quickly pivoted to a chicken spot down the road instead and closed out!! The large bill all came on one tab and we had to sort it out amongst ourselves. She walked away while we were asking about the tab, too. Really hope her day got better once we left...

Pizza Luce is one of my favorite restaurants around. I go to Roseville and St. Paul often! Eden prairie as well, every now and then! They have wonderful vegan options!! They’re always so consistently great as well! I’m downtown every Wednesday night and have ordered from the downtown location about 7 or 8 times. Every single time my pizza has been messed up in one way or another. Always, and ONLY at this location. I get these same pizzas at every other location very frequently so I know how they’re supposed to taste. I figured maybe they’re just bad at the specialties, which are my go to. Maybe it’s just the Wednesday crew that sucks? Well, this past Friday I happened to be in minneapolis and decided to order a more simple pizza and give the Friday night crew a chance.. pizza showed up with no sauce? How can this happen all the time? It’s safe to say I won’t be going to, or ordering from this location again. I will have to give my business to some other restaurant downtown every Wednesday. I’ll stick to the other Luce’s when I’m not downtown. Sad to think that this is probably one of the most busy locations, people from out of town ordering it and thinking THIS is what Luce is like? I go to any of the other locations and enjoy some of the best and most unique pizza I have in my life! Yet every time or day of the week at the downtown location have a bland, messed up, and underwhelming pizza. Seems they’re very consistent as well, except, unlike the others, it’s at making bad pizzas instead of good ones. A few years back it wasn’t like this! Hope the downtown location gets it together soon. They’ve already lost a loyal customer here! I’ve had multiple friends and family complain about the same experience at this location as well.. so I certainly l won’t be the last one they lose if they...
