Our experience at this restaurant was a bit of a mixed bag. While the service truly stood out, the food left us uncertain about giving a higher rating.
We ordered the fried veg momos, dum veg biryani, Bombay samosa chaat, paneer makhni, and navratan korma with naan. It was a nice touch that the gravies came with plain rice.
Flavors: The clear winner was the dum veg biryani—rich, aromatic, and full of traditional Hyderabadi flavor. Following closely was the navratan korma, though the “navratan” name felt a little misleading. Traditionally, it includesa combination of nine distinct fruits, nuts, and vegetables, which we didn’t quite see. That said, the gravy itself was flavorful and paired nicely with the rice and naan.
The paneer makhni didn’t hold up. It lacked a distinct identity and seemed too similar to the korma. The addition of bell peppers was unusual and, in my opinion, threw off the flavor. It’s not something I've ever seen in a makhni dish and felt unnecessary.
As for the Bombay chaat and fried momos, they missed the mark. The chaat lacked the tang you expect. The tamarind chutney was dull, and the green chutney overwhelmed the dish.
The momos were overly deep fried and very dry, far from the juicy, satisfying texture we had hoped for. The texture was also very hard since it was over fried.
On a positive note, the mango lassi was refreshing and helped balance out the spices beautifully.
Service: The service was excellent... friendly, attentive, and fast. Our food started arrived hot and fresh within five minutes of ordering, which was very impressive!
Overall, if you're looking for a great plate of Hyderabadi style dum biryani, this place is definitely...
Read moreWhere to start? I ordered some food from here via Uber and wow, does it suck. I enjoy Indian food, and maaaan...oof.
First, let's start with the dessert. We ordered a cheesecake type thing, and wound up with Galub Jamun. I could forgive this, but I choose not to, because of the "garlic naan" I was served.
I'm including a photo of this, because it cannot be stated how not-naan this is. This is clearly a stack of tortillas. I went to the trouble of looking up examples of Hyderabadi naan. If there is a European equivalent, it can be compared more to a square pizza dough, not a tortilla.
If they ran out or whatever, it would have been acceptable to say so. But giving us tortillas that might have maybe been cooked on a flattop in garlic butter is a travesty when I'm paying money like this.
So in my review, I gave 1 star for food, 2 stars for service, and 5 stars for atmosphere because I enjoy my house. I won't be ordering...

I cannot say enough great things about The Hyderabad Indian Grill. Even though we arrived as the kitchen was about to close, the staff graciously kept it open and assured us we could order anything on the menu—a level of hospitality you rarely find these days.
The food was absolutely exceptional. The biryani was, hands down, the best I’ve ever had—perfectly spiced, fragrant, and cooked to perfection. The lamb samosas were equally impressive: crispy, flavorful, and packed with tender, well-seasoned lamb.
Beyond the incredible food, the service was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. If you’re looking for authentic Indian cuisine paired with top-notch hospitality, The Hyderabad Indian Grill is an absolute must-visit. Five stars...
