I attended this location for Sunday brunch and was not completely satisfied. First, I didn't like the way security handled me upon entry. He didn't speak and when I inquired on what to do he wrapped his hand around my arm and pulled me instead of just verbally stating what I needed to do. Next, there was a $20 entry charge that I was unaware of. I am not sure if that is applied toward non reservations but the fee was not visibly posted in the restaurant nor mentioned on the website. I was then seated at 2:42 PM and given a small menu. I wish the menu listed the details of the food. I asked the waitress questions about the menu but she was new. Instead of bothering her with questions I just ordered because the questions I asked received poor responses.1. I inquired on if the wings were drumlettes or whole and she said she thinks all flats. 2. I asked if the philly bowl had grits and she says "I think so". So I ordered a side of potatoes by mistake. Looking back I should have searched the site for a menu. When the food arrived the bowl actually came with potatoes so I had an unwanted excesss of potatoes because of poor communication. Anyway, She then returns 2 minutes later to tell me the kitchen staff was refusing our order because they temporarily closed the kitchen. The time was 3:11 PM. No problem... I know people need breaks. The waitress returns at 3:47 Pm and ask if we were ready to order. I explained we'd already given her our cards. So the order still wasn't ready. When the food finally arrived a male photographer intruded on my table and began taking pictures. I kindly asked him to cease the flash and his response was "I'm taking pictures of your food, not you". I then clarified that I have epilepsy and the flash can lead to a seizure. His remark was "it's my job". I got upset and asked him to move and he quickly denied due to my "attitude" and intenonally proceeded to take pictures near my table with the flash on to deliberately cause me harm. I immediately asked the waitress for Togo boxes because my health is important. And to go back- we waited an unnecessary long time for service. It was so noticeable that three other employees asked if we'd received our order. With that being an issue, I would have expected a quicker delivery time or an apology or maybe a discount. But none of that was given. It was quite disorganized, chaotic and unprofessional.I spent approximately $70 on two meals and two drinks plus $40 just to sit. I paid over $100 for my time to be wasted and my life to be put in jeopardy. I will not return solely based on the restaurant not being complaint with ADA regulations. I was not only not told about the entry fee but I did not consent to flash photography. I visited from Georgia so this place was unfamiliar to me. It's definitely a club scene. If you're going to party then it's for you. But for a date is not ideal. It was extremely difficult talking to my spouse over the DJ and the music. The hostess did warn me that it would get crazy but I was not expecting random people to crowd and hover over my table to converse with each other. It needs improvement with the facility and menu. I will say the food was decent. In my opinion, many items didn't mate well together and bacon was not on the menu for brunch (disappointing lol). The DJ did play good hits. But other than that it wasn't my style. It seemed More for locals to hang out and party. And not a fun, inviting atmosphere. I will not recommend. And to the owner, please understand people are different and medical issues aren't to be taken lightly. Having a seizure in your establishment could...
Read moreNever have I ever been so disrespected at an establishment especially where Iâm paying money for overpriced food and drinks. First I will say the waitress was wonderful and understanding. But the service here was HORRENDOUS. This included the MANAGER, the doorman, AND the bar tender. When we first arrived we were told that thereâs a $40 entrance fee and cash only. The members of our other party were already seated. When we got to our table, we found out other members of our party were charged $20. One member was told $40 for men and $20 for women. However, me and the other guest were both women. We were already angry, but since we already paid the entrance fee we might as well stay right? After we eat our appetizer we were told that the because itâs late, the chef can only make the small plates since they were quicker to make. OK. Then the self-proclaimed manager stated that the chef would make the large plates only if we tipped $5 per large plates, and for our trouble the manager would give us a round of free drinks. This was because the chefâs shift was almost over, and he didnât want to make him âstay over his shiftâ.One, a member of our party doesnât drink, so this wasnât a a pro for her. This is extortion. So we said we would only order from the small plates, and the manager comes back and says âoh the chef will satisfy your original ordersâ. Great. The funny thing is, the four large plates came out of the kitchen within five minutes. AND two of the orders were wrong. The large plates actually came out ten minutes quicker than the one small plate that was ordered (which was encouraged from the beginning). During our dinner, multiple people bumped into our table bringing out tables for bottle service, and a drink was even spilled on my sister by one of the employees. As we were eating we were constantly told that someone reserved our table. At this point, we were already there for 30 minutes, AS we were eating. The waitress then offered to take our picture by the photo wall, the bus boy walked by and a member of our party informed him that we werenât leaving and that we were going to take a picture. We got up from our table to take our picture, and when we returned all of our food was gone. We barely even touched our plates. The manager came over and we angrily told him of what happened. As he was explaining, the busboy took the table clothes underneath our drinks and took our drinks from underneath us. The manager then grabbed tablecloths and began setting the table again with small cups and buckets of ice. THEY WERE SETTNG UP FOR THE NEXT TABLE for bottle service. This is BEYOND unacceptable. As a black woman, I always try to find ways to support black businesses. But I will NEVER go to that establishment and recommend that no one ever support this business again. The way they conned/extorted and treated us was disgusting. Never have I ever been treated this way, and I refuse to allow anyone else to...
Read moreHad a party at the GoldRoom in GA and we went up!!! The just didnât have food so the owner told us about the one in Minnesota so looked it t up and reserved a table. Get to the GR the man at the door told us to sit anywhere so we did we sat at a booth. Reservations was at 9pm on a Friday which I was told it wasnât the busy night which was okay because ATL GR had already impressed me with the party vibe I wanted the food. Get there about 8:50p waitress come over about 9:15p we order the deviled eggs and the Jay+Bey. 9:35ish she brings the eggs which was gross btw and we order our food which was the wings lemon pepper hot and buffalo shrimp I told her all drums for 2.00 more I was okay with that.9:55p she comes and say she has to put the rest of my food in a to go box because the club opens at 10p. I requested to talk to the manager let her know we came over from Nashville to visit the club just to be told my food has to packed up and my order wasnât placed til 9:45ish she informed us to enjoy our food we was fine in the area. 10:15p the waitress comes back and says our food is coming but they didnât do all drums. I still donât understand why she thought that was ok when that issue should have never left the kitchen! So I had to wait longer for my order to be corrected just for them to have the wrong sauce on them. I told her donât worry about it at this point. Food wasnât good maybe I was suppose to go during the brunch hour. Dj played Drake ALL DAMN NIGHT!!! You wouldâve thought he was there! The stop was very empty and I was told that would be it night but a group comes in a large group and this guy comes over to us and tells us to move mind you there is a large booth open to the right but you want us to move OKAY! I explained to him we spoke with the manager about the section I mean if we had to buy a bottle just say that donât come just put us out especially when itâs other booths open. Killer part is they moved to the big booth anyway....
