My wife, a beautiful, amazing warrior, who is in her 11th year of an extremely trying battle with stage 4 cancer, was treated by a friend of hers to 2 tickets to see Katt Williams last night, Friday, October 24th, 2025 at the Target center in Minneapolis, MN. Apparently this friend is friends with the D.J... We don't get out much these days, and were very exited for the opportunity to relax for a moment and have a much needed laugh...So I will begin by saying thank you to that friend for the kind gesture..... Anyways, after we made it to our seats, and as the show was getting started, there was a butch woman with a man bun walking around, who's sole job was to shine people who were trying to photograph the show with a 10,000 lumen, laser beam flashlight, in order to make them put their phones away. Ok, Seems legit, but neither me or my wife had our phones out at all, yet the woman blinded us directly with her light no less than 5 times at close range. It was extremely disrespectful and clearly deliberate, and I am not going to allow anybody to disrespect me, or especially my wife, so I very politely asked her to please stop blinding us with her light, as neither us nor anyone around us, was on their phones at all. She then got very aggressive and rude, and in a failed attempt to try to bully me, told me that she will shine her light in my eyes freely at will, and that if I had a problem with it, then they would be happy to escort us out of the building. I walked to another nearby employee and asked to speak to the head of security, when the same girl interjected with "I am the head of security", then walked away. Maybe 10-15 minutes after that, she came back with some other guy, who asked me what the problem was. I explained that I had simply asked his buddy to stop shining her flashlight in my eyes repeatedly for no reason, when we weren't doing anything wrong, so that we could enjoy the show. The guy proceeded to tell me that he will take our backstage passes and have us removed if I didnt like it. I challenged him to remove me for simply not wanting to be needlessly blinded repeatedly with a flashlight for no reason. He did not accept the challenge (I'm assuming he was already out of breath from too much tough talk), and walked away. Anyways.....After being treated with so much blatent disregard and disrespect, our night was completely ruined. Although we were never shined with the light again for the rest of the evening, we did not enjoy the show, and had such a terrible time that we did not even use our backstage passes to go meet Katt Williams and his D.J., who personally provided us with the tickets. I don't know if these clowns work for the Target center or for Katt, but if that is how you treat your guests, then I don't want any part of you or anything you have going on. Hands down the single worst event I have ever attended in my entire 46 years of life....No wonder it was only at 30% capacity...👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 I am in the process of contacting some media connections in order to get this issue more attention and get some real results. You will NOT get away with treating...
Read moreWhen visiting the Target Center for Concerts, we usually have a great time. Last night was not one of those great moments.
We were put on a list by friends of ours to attend a show, we were told by our friend to pick tickets up at Will Call no later than 7:15. We arrived at 7 to be told they didn’t have my name at all, to which I called my friend to sort it out. We get our tickets within 5 mins. They took my husband and my ticket and gave us our guest sticker to put on our clothing. They brought us through a couple curtains to the back of the stage, until we were met with a woman who said she was head of security and told me that my friend would have to come off stage to get us from this point. I asked if they could just take us to our seats. We didn’t need to go back stage, we would catch up with our friends after the show. Well the woman who is head of security who was completely disrespectful made the nastiest remarks about our guest passes. She had us wait for 30 mins per her reason that someone needed to come get us from the tour to seat us. We were so confused, our passes had “no escort” she got irritated with us when we explained what we were told regarding our passes. Another security guard helped us to our seats after the woman walked away.
After we were taken to our seats. I assume The head security woman did not like that the other guard brought us to our seats. She walked over to our seats and made the biggest fuss about us being seated in the seats we were given. We were completely confused why she was so rude to not only us but her employee who helped. She lost it on my husband when he asked her a question regarding our passes, which clearly stated no escort needed. We were yelled at and completely embarrassed by her actions. She made the night horribly uncomfortable. Yelling at other guests seated in the rows above us, flashing her light in my husband’s face, but she explained she was trying to get other guests attention a few rows above us threatening them as well. We asked her to calm down. In which she replied, “I’m head of security I do what I want.” This security guard was miserable and seemed to want to ruin everyone’s night. Unfortunate to have to deal with her and the threats she made regarding taking our passes away from us because she could.
I truly hope that the woman over the security team gets the help she needs. Maybe taking a few seminars on customer relations. Her behavior was toxic and unacceptable. I felt horrible for the folks above us who we hadn’t noticed did anything wrong in that moment that I had noticed.
The fact that there were not many people at this show on a Friday night, was weird given the comedian is...
Read moreThe venue most times is really good but last night it was a bit chaotic and some of the people who work at the box office are not it. My sis and I went to a SleepToken concert last night and she has POTS and a disability with her knee, we must have talked to 3-5 different people and even a person on the medic team who couldn’t help us find accessible seating especially for people with disabilities. We were directed to the box office where we talked to this lady, I forgot to really look at her name, I don’t really care though, but she was seeming like she was refusing to help us get accessible seating at first. Saying that they’re all sold out when we found other more cheaper tickets for the show still so there WAS still seating, and then when we persisted because we knew not to take no as an answer especially for someone with a history of SEIZURES (not even epileptic) too. If she had a seizure while in a normal seat she would most certainly tumble forward and possibly even pass on especially with how high up we were, originally in the U section. And then she just decided to then say “well did you guys know this when you purchased the ticket??”…………🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 WHAT?!? Who even asks that to a person with a disability when they already KNOW they’re disabled? The problem is not the disabled person coming to the show at all. If you are a venue like this, you are SUPPOSED to know that people DO have disabilities, and PLAN and PREPARE for that. It’s not the persons fault they have a chronic illness/disability. Why punish that person by not having them come so you don’t HAVE to prepare for them? Thats just insane. And then for multiple people to direct us to 216 when we’re really supposed to go to 116 for the seating accommodations, the problem wasn’t sleeptoken. SleepToken was AMAZING!!! Loved them!!! It was the venue. And I’m sorry for anyone who had to experience setbacks by the venue not being as organized and even unprofessional. I think this is definitely a little bit of a wake up call to do better and focus on inclusion for all. People have just been brave enough to say anything on their mind nowadays and it’s dangerous. Oh and the fact that they have ATM’s there but we can’t use ANY of that cash. ONLY card. They don’t tell you that though so I’m telling you guys now as a warning. Idk when they started doing that but it would have been...
