I am absolutely livid about the horrendous treatment I received at that so-called restaurant! I dropped a hefty $210 on a feast, expecting a pleasant dining experience, only to be met with sheer incompetence and disrespect. First off, they seat us at a dinky little table when the place is practically empty. I politely ask for a larger table, but that server, Grace, blatantly refuses, despite struggling to cram all our food onto it. I mean, come on! What's the point of dining in if you can't even move a plate without knocking something over? I persist, requesting to attach an extra table to accommodate our meal properly. But no, Grace insists we "adjust" to their sorry excuse for seating arrangements. And when I ask for the manager, surprise, surprise, they conveniently claim the manager isn't available but promise a callback that never materializes. Yeah, right! Thankfully, one sensible employee allows us to move to a bigger table, only for Grace to summon a security guard to throw us out like we're some kind of unruly riff-raff! Can you believe the nerve? As if that wasn't bad enough, when we finally get home and start digging into our food, we discover HAIR in it! I don't know if it was deliberate or just sheer incompetence, but it's absolutely disgusting! This was hands down the worst dining experience of my life, and I've had my fair share of disappointments. It's beyond comprehension how they're allowed to run a business treating paying customers like trash! Oh, and don't even get me started on the shambles they made of my to-go order! It's an absolute disgrace! I'm not letting this slide. I've got photos, videos, and a receipt showcasing their utter incompetence. I'm going to make sure everyone knows about this disgraceful establishment, and I won't rest until I get some answers from the higher-ups at Walley's!

If you have never had Mediterranean nor seasoned food, it’s fine (still overpriced). I will write the review for anyone who has had Mediterranean food, juicy chicken, or is over 30 years old. Service: There is none. I ordered my food standing up and was prompted with a 20%, 25%, and 30% tip option BEFORE any food was eaten. We seated ourselves, got our own water, got our own utensils, and were expected to clear our table after eating. What this the tip for if there is no service? Tipping culture is already absurd, but an entire lack of any service is criminal. Overview: The interior decor was very nice, but I don’t think anything we had was made to order or anytime in the last few hours. Bland and dry was the theme for most the items. Food: the chicken shawarma plate ($16)was a pile of reheated chicken bits without a drop of moisture left. Similar to when you reheat chicken in a microwave. My hummus was good, but didn’t come with pita bread (so I added it at an additional charge). The pita bread looked like they reheated the kind you find at the store instead of the homemade pita bread restaurants have. The chicken kabob plate ($18) was FOUR CUPS of yellow rice that was so mild in flavor, it shamed real Yellow rice. The chicken kabob was juicer than the shawarma plate, but was not made fresh either. We will never return and got our hopes up because the high number of reviews made it seem like the food quality was better. We should have known better for places around a college campus. Hit up Pangea Halal Market if you want fresh and delicious Shawarma. It’s better priced and has a dramatically better quality.

I hate to leave a 1-star review, but considering I ate MOLD, I think it's fair. I came here for the first time last year and had a good experience, but after today i will not be returning. I paid $18 in food (the lala plate and a side of fries). Why has the pricing gone up but the quality gone down significantly? I was snacking on the fries in the car and had eaten nearly all of them when I bit into one that tasted funny. I kept chewing and realized it was not normal. The taste was so bad that I literally spit out the rest of the fry and chugged water. It was dark outside, so I turned on my flashlight and saw the fry had something black and slightly blue in it. I found two other fries with the same coloring and realized I had literally eaten mold. As much as I love middle eastern food, I don't love it enough to risk eating moldly food. There are other mediterranean places with fresh quality and fair prices. I threw the fries out immediately, and unfortunately, I don't know that I'm confident to finish my schwarma plate either. The bites of chicken I did taste were extremely dry and tasted as if they were at least several days old. How do I know it doesn't have mold in it too? If I am going to spend $18 on food, I at least want to be able to eat it!!

Phenomenal traditional Palestinian cuisine! Prices are reasonable and portions are fair! I had the chicken shawarma saj. I would recommend to anyone. The tahini was great on top of the shawarma! I also got harase and kanafeh. Try if you have never had before. Both are savory/sweet desserts that originate from Nablus! Seating was appropriate for Covid standards and regulations. It is also situated in Dinkytown around many other fun locations to spend the evening! Make sure to try the falafel and hummus as well! Hummus is a thick paste or spread made from ground chickpeas and sesame seeds, olive oil, lemon, and garlic, made originally in the Middle East. DescriptionFalafel is a deep-fried ball or patty made from ground chickpeas, fava beans, or both. My personal preference is hummus before falefel! Even if you don’t like falafel, make sure to try the hummus on your meal! I have spent much time in Palestine and can honestly say if you want to try good traditional food, stateside, go to Wally’s!

Wally’s consistently goes above and beyond and is easily among my personal favorite restaurants in the Twin Cities, particularly for its top notch Mediterranean food including shawarma, gyro, hummus, falafel, and salads. The prices are very reasonable for how flavorful and high-quality the food is. The hummus is extra rich and creamy, and stands out compared to other Mediterranean places I’ll say. They recently expanded their seating area and the interior of the restaurant looks even more inviting now, which I’ve seen to be clean, warm, and comfortable. Whether you dine in or pick up, you’re sure to have a pleasant experience as the staff are typically very friendly and helpful. The food here speaks for itself and has had me coming back for years. I would love to learn more about the history of Wally’s and can only hope they keep up the great service for years to come.

Horrible service. (1) I arrived around 9:20-9:30 pm, and I ordered a box of fries and a saj shawarma sandwich, to which they said it would be to go, and their closing time is at 10 pm. (2) I didn’t want any pickles in my saj sandwich, and they said that they could not change anything in the sandwich. (3) when I got my order, I wanted to remove the pickles from my sandwich and add some salt to my fries, and then the waitress came twice to my table in less than 5 minutes and stood before me demanding me to leave. The attitude and behavior of the waitress was very disrespectful. This is a restaurant. If you’re not willing to be hospitable, find another job. It’s really that simple. Finally, the sandwich was okay, but the fries were disappointing.
