Whether you're looking for a place for nostalgia, to share a malt shake with your sweetheart, or to bring the kiddos to, this 1950's themed diner has just that. On the outskirts of Waite Park on HWY 75, you can't miss this silver exterior diner. When you're done soaking in the exterior style, you can head on it. The front doors are a PULL type of door. See the arcade as you enter. Friendly staff will greet and seat you. Don't want a booth or seat, the counter seating is an option. Once at your seat, you're offered drinks - they have Pepsi products. The menu is creatively named. They have items like Betty Boop fish sandwich, Super 88, and even Rockin' Reuben. 😆 The menu is also on their website. NOTE: there are no specials on the weekends. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch wrap with a side of onion rings. Did you know the tartar sauce is made in-house?! Delicious! Of course I had to try a malt. Everything was creamy and scrumptious. 🤤 While you wait for your food to cook, take a moment to admire the interior. You'll see 1950's framed ads, pictures of the older classic cars, framed magazine covers and vinyl, and metal posters. The seats are red and white - classic diner style. Don't forget to sing along to the classics like Elvis Presley and Fleetwood Mac. Bathrooms? To the left side of the building just past the counter seating. Gentlemen, James Dean will show you which door. Ladies, look for Marilyn Monroe. Enjoy...

Went in for lunch on a Tuesday at about 12:30. Place had maybe a half dozen tables filled. We both ordered burgers and it took about 45 minutes for our food to come out. They were alright but not anything special.

The real downfall of our visit was Naydene, the overly confident server, who just isn’t enjoyable. Talking to another table she was boasting 30 years of being a server and that she’s great at it.

I said do you have coke, she says “Pepsi” not even is Pepsi alright then without letting me answer, takes off to get drinks. Then mixes up which of us had which drink so next I got my friends Dr Pepper which I guess that worked out better than the Pepsi. As mentioned food took a long time, she didn’t check in with us at all. Then when it finally came she didn’t ask how it was. Dropped the checks without any further discussion. Meanwhile we got to overhear her talk unprofessionally nonstop behind the counter.

Long story short if you don’t get Naydene you will probably call this an average diner, if you do, well you will understand why I...

I've been eating at this restaurant since shortly after it opened. The food is always good to outstanding, the service is great and the staff very friendly. The only time I've ever had a bad experience was when a group of 8 of us went in on a Saturday late morning for breakfast. The place was swamped so we had to wait for nearly half an hour. Or we could have waited less then 10 minutes and been seated at 2 different tables on opposite sides of the dining room. Not the restaurants fault that it took that long for 2 tables close enough together to finish and depart. At least we were kept apprised of the situation. And we were offered complimentary deserts which we were too full to take advantage of. Overall a very pleasant dining experience if you're with a small group or you give them a heads up prior to arriving with a group...

Excellent ‘50s style retro diner plastered with memorabilia and kitsch with a really friendly staff, good (if basic) food, and a fun vibe. You really get that nostalgic service that you hope for, the staff goes out of their way to be personable and helpful, even when they’re busy. This is one of the best places in town for kids—I’ve been coming here for probably close to two decades now, so I can tell you that I still remember getting a kid’s meal when my grandpa came to visit from California and took our family out—they come in super cool paperboard antique cars (era appropriate, of course). I’d also recommend giving the milkshakes a try, they’re top class.
