Staff was nice. Prices and food are incredibly shocking and high. A family of 4, with 2 young kids walked out paying $80! $8.32 of that was the only alcohol purchase, rest was 3 adult dinners and one app. I wasn't about to spend $8+ a piece on bar quality kid's meals so we ordered a adult basket to share.
Besides menu prices and the prices on our receipt not matching, everything was at least .50-$1.50+ more. I got a full boneless wings, I remember the menu saying 17 or 18.99, our receipt was written 20.79! That wasn't including tax. It was JUST extremely hard wings with celery, didn't even come with fries. Half of the "wings" were the size of a quarter, some 2 quarters. Even the big pieces were thick with breading. My jaw actually started hurting half way through. The poutine fries were ok, but definitely not worth over $12. Nothing was special about the mini corn dog basket (menu $13.99, receipt $14.55). With the corn dogs it says on the menu comes with coleslaw, I asked if we could sub something else, and she mentioned how kitchen staff is picky. So I just said a little more fries was fine. Just didn't want to waste food I wasn't going to eat. But almost $15 for 8 mini corn dogs and some fries? Wild
I ordered a mint kiss adult drink, that was the best part of my experience honestly. Price was ok on that, would probably order it again. Very surprised with how busy we always see this place, I was expecting much better. I would've rather went to Applebee's and actually left happy. Probably could've went a couple times 😵. Definitely not planning...
Read moreAmazing place! One of those go to spots if you want good food good drinks good company and good entertainment! Its never failed to be a staple in this town and i have a long line of family from there that would attest to that! With that said i knew this sports bar as a kid and when the old one burnt down during covid the owner and community couldnt wait to rebuild and so he/they did and it is so spot on to the old (bathrooms are updated thank god lol) but the experience has not changed a lick!!! The food i recommend to people going here for the first time is the sunfish! If your a fisherman thats not a hard sell at all your of course saying WHAT! They have sunfish on the menu how? But if your not and you don't know what that means GET SOME! Even if you don't usually care for fish this is considered to most if not all to be one of the finest pan fish you can catch taste wise in the land of 10,000 lakes and they at the Ultimate Sports Bar in Waite Park MN are bringing them to you hot and fresh like grandpa used to do it skins and all! You owe it to yourselves to have a basket of the catch of the day so to speak... Keep up the amazing work John from a descendent of the Gene Petron clan! Ps still love looking at the old sports memorabilia, the items lost will...
Read moreWhen I was a young homo sapien, WGN was the only Channel we had access to. So besides Kevin Sorbo and his glorious performance of Hercules I had the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan.... it was the ultimate childhood between the two. If only I had a bar that could express how I felt. I experienced that here at Ultimate Sports Bar and grill. Kevin Sorbo mixed with Michael jordan. Ultimate greatness. Honestly the environment was awesome I love the layout. We sat at the outside bar and even though my fear of bees is sometimes debilitating, I toughed it out due to the vibe. You could see TVs tear down heading to a interior bar on a lower level which I thought was really cool. I would love to be able to watch a Sunday football out here. We loves all of the food except for that one dip on the pretzel that was weird. I tip my hat to you Ultimate Sports Bar and grill. Oh and whoever the manager is with the goatee...the bald dude. You, sir, are an example of what managers should be doing at restaurants. I would assume you were a manager. I saw you doing everything. I assume your name was lead by example. Nice work dude, it definitely shows. Also I used voice to text for this entire review and I'm not going to proofread it so I'm...
