I do not share negative reviews in general. I tend to think that I shouldn't be too quick to judge based on one bad experience. That said, the lady behind the counter was so awful I felt I had to say something. My husband and I went in to buy ourselves each two sandwiches. Yes, we had coupons, but I had carefully read the coupons and nowhere did it say that it was one coupon per group who came in. That said, when the lady behind the counter said we had to use only one coupon between the two of us, I was surprised and expressed that surprise, but I understood where she was coming from. No food had been prepped for my order yet, so I said that if we couldn't use two coupons for 4 sandwiches, that was fine, we would just use the one coupon for 2 sandwiches. She got very pushy with me. She kept saying that she had told me repeatedly that we couldn't use two and acted as though I was trying to argue with her. I kept trying to assure her that I wasn't trying to argue with her, but she never let me get beyond "I'm not trying to argue..." before she cut me off and kept painting me like I was trying to take advantage or do something wrong. I think if I had been allowed to finish my sentence, I wouldn't have found it so upsetting, but she had already decided I was a "difficult customer" and wouldn't hear otherwise. I didn't know whether to snap at her and confirm (in her mind) her accusations, or burst into tears. I ended up telling my husband I didn't want anything and that I'd see him outside, then leaving. She made me feel humiliated. Eventually, in the car, I did burst into tears, for the first time in almost a year. I have never in my life been brought to tears by an absolute stranger, even as a child. My husband had already bought his two sandwiches but we didn't want to eat them by then, so we gave them away and ordered pizza. In over 5 years of working in customer service (including as a server in restaurants) I would NEVER have treated a customer as she treated me, even if they really had been difficult. It will be a very long time before I feel like eating...
Read moreVery disappointing every time I have visited this location. Last time was the worst. The owner was making sandwiches and took forever, always does.
My daughter needed to use the restroom but there was a sign on the door "OUT". I asked him if it was out of order and he said no, just need to keep the rif raf out. He said his wife was in there and didn't know how long she would be. After about 15 minutes his wife finally came out. My daughter quickly ran in because needed to go! The wife came back out from the kitchen area and asked me "is she going to be a while?" In disbalief I looked and her and said "how ever long she takes is how long she will be". The wife responded with "we have an event to go to and I need to get back in there to change so how long will she be?" I could not believe what I was hearing after she had already occupied the bathroom for 15 minutes.
This place DOES NOT understand customer service. It is worth the time to drive to the next closest location. You will ultimately save time and your sanity.
Update after owner response:
I fear you are misunderstanding my frustration as a customer. I have no problem with any establishment limiting their facilities to customers only. The problem lies in the fact that your wife was in the for 15 minutes and once my daughter was finally able to get in your wife was expecting me to rush her out. This is the core of my issues each time I have visited your particular store. It feels as though it is an inconvenience for you in me simply being there. I am a paying customer and at no point have I felt welcomed in YOUR restaurant.
Case in point is your patronizing response. I will not be returning to this Subway unless...
Read moreI go to Subway often, and this is by far the worst. The older blonde woman you will read about in other reviews is quite rude, and could not even complete the order because she didn't know what was on the sandwich we were trying to order and had to call someone to verify. I had an absolutely terrible experience trying to order the other day and was told it was my fault for making it a bad experience. Here is what happened:
My son tried to order a 12" Turkey Italiano (it's on the local favorites menu) from a woman who spoke very little English. It was difficult to even explain what cheese or bread he wanted because all she could do was point at the cheese and look for confirmation. She couldn't understand we wanted a Turkey Italiano and not just a plain Turkey. She retrieved the older blonde woman who also didn't know what was on the sandwich and that she needed to call her husband and get the answer.
We tried to change the order at this point, but the non-english speaker couldn't understand what we wanted. Then the blonde finally gets off the phone and insists on making the original sandwich. I explained to her that this has been a bad experience for us. She asked why, and I explained that she didn't know what was on the sandwich and that the communications problems were difficult. She said it was my job to give her worker with the language barrier a good experience.
That was enough for me and we walked out. On the way out she yelled at me to "have a nice day" in an extremely rude voice. I responded in kind and we went next door to Chipotle and had a wonderful meal with fantastic service.
