I was told this place was the best sandwich shop here… I’m gonna be real and say this place is worse than Jersey Mikes. I had a French dip style sandwich, and a Cuban I believe. They were both fairly bland. I liked the staff, as they were kind and helpful in ordering, and there’s an ice cream shop in the restaurant as well.
EDIT: A reply to the owner - Understand that this is only my opinion. You can view my review on homesteaders is harsh, but there is definitely a hand of truth in everything I said. Your staff was kind, and I assume that is a natural sign that you as the owner is kind, so I only apologize if I take offense. But the reality is that the sandwiches were okay. And that’s it.
Lastly, don’t worry about my reviews of other restaurants. It’s simply an opinion that may be harsher than others. But it seems like every place in town is doing fine, and my review with be quickly stamped out by the dozens of 4-5 star reviews, so take peace in that. Look at your responses to other peoples comments when they leave 5 stars… it’s apparently honest, but...
Read moreRecommended by a friend, now enemy, to eat at this below average sandwich shop with unenthusiastic employees and heavy metal music blaring from ceiling speakers.
Choking down this food made my tastebuds feel like my ears when listening to Nickelback. Food quality and taste places last amongst all eateries in Minot. A notch below an expired MRE. If it wasn’t so ridiculously expensive, I’d vote to have them cater federal prisons, serving the most violent criminals as a punishment.
Employees acted as if they were being forced to conduct community service. Music was way too loud and of a genre no one there appreciated other than the workers.
I’m sure I’ll get sick from the food but greatly fear vomiting because I’ll have to retaste the little that I ate. Worst $22 bill I’ve ever spent. I’d bet my left caramel that Magic City Hoagies goes titts up in 6 months and reopens as...
Read moreI travel for work a lot. When I know I'm passing by Minot I will plan my day to ensure I'm here for lunch. Friendly and courteous staff, clean establishment and a great location downtown. The owner knows her sandwiches and her passion and attention to every detail comes through in the finished product. She specially wraps my sandwhich to be better facilitate eating in the work truck on the road. I try a different sandwhich from the massive menu each time and have never been disappointed. Thank you so much for the extra attention you give every customer, making everyone feel welcome, special and at home. I would provide a photo of the beautiful monthly special I just picked up, however I inhaled it faster than than my cameras shutter speed could capture... should have...
