Audited Verified Review (AVR) Brief History Starbucks, founded in 1971 in Seattle, WA, is a global coffeehouse chain known for its coffee, tea, and baked goods. The Minot, ND, location at 1780 22nd Ave SW likely opened to serve the city’s growing population and oil industry workers in the Bakken region. Specific opening dates for this branch are not publicly documented, but Starbucks expanded rapidly in the 2000s, targeting smaller markets like Minot to meet demand for premium coffee. NAICS Code The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for Starbucks is 722515 - Snack and Nonalcoholic Beverage Bars. This code applies to establishments primarily engaged in preparing and serving specialty snacks and nonalcoholic beverages, such as coffee shops. SIC Codes The corresponding Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 5812 - Eating Places, which includes coffee shops and similar establishments. Ownership The Minot Starbucks is part of Starbucks Corporation, a publicly traded company (NASDAQ: SBUX) headquartered in Seattle, WA. Individual locations are typically company-owned or licensed, with this branch likely company-operated, though specific ownership details for this site are not publicly available. Management No specific management details for the Minot location are available. Starbucks stores are typically managed by a store manager overseeing daily operations, staff, and customer service, reporting to regional corporate management. Corporate leadership, as of 2025, includes CEO Brian Niccol. Address The address is 1780 22nd Ave SW, Minot, ND 58701, based on business listings. Phone Number The phone number for this Starbucks is 701-838-0992, per online directories. Website The official website for Starbucks is www.starbucks.com, which provides information on locations, menus, and services, including for the Minot branch. Economic Impact The Minot Starbucks contributes to the local economy by providing convenient food and beverage services, attracting customers to the surrounding commercial area, and generating sales tax revenue. As part of a major chain, it supports local supply chains and draws oil industry workers and residents. Exact revenue figures are unavailable, but Starbucks locations typically bolster local retail vitality. Employment Specific employment data for this location is not available. A typical Starbucks employs 15–25 baristas, shift supervisors, and a store manager, often part-time. In Minot, with a population of ~48,000, this branch likely provides stable retail jobs, supporting local employment. Compliance No specific compliance issues for this Starbucks were found. As a corporate chain, Starbucks adheres to federal, state, and local regulations, including food safety, labor laws, and health codes. The NAICS code 722515 suggests potential scrutiny for cash-intensive operations under the Patriot Act, but no high-risk designation was noted. Reputation The Minot Starbucks has mixed reviews, typical of chain locations. Customers praise convenience and consistency but note occasional issues with service speed or order accuracy, common in high-traffic stores. Online platforms like Yelp or Google Reviews may offer specific feedback, but no major reputational concerns were identified. Social Responsibility Participation and Involvement Score Starbucks has a strong corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, emphasizing sustainability, ethical sourcing, and community engagement. The Minot location likely participates in company-wide initiatives, such as recycling, veteran hiring programs, and local charity support. However, specific local involvement is undocumented, so I assign a 7/10 score, reflecting Starbucks’ robust corporate CSR but limited evidence of branch-specific efforts beyond standard practices.

I used the drive thru and wanted to try the mango dragonflies frozen drink but they didn't have all the ingredients so she asked if I wanted just the regular, So yes I ordered that, 2 pastries and egg bites. When I got to the window I was given a very yellow drink, she made me a pineapple drink, I asked if it was mango dragonfruit, she said no sorry and offered to remake my drink and pulled around. Another gal brought my drink and it wasn't pink but I have had a mango dragonfruit like that due to a missing ingredient, I had strawberries added so just saw color and I drove off, then tried it and realized it had to be one of the new drinks, assuming it was the Passionfruit. It wasn't what I wanted but will say it's not bad. I am disappointed it wasn't my Mango Dragonfruit.

Starbucks not bad people work in starbucks make them look bad. I never write a bad review for anything before this is my first time because i feel like they bullied me. I have been order drinks at starbucks many many times and never see anything like this before, they gave me half of the coffee in a venti cup, i know everybody make mistake so i ask them nicely to redo my cup of coffee but they refuse to do it and said if i need more ice or milk i need to pay extra for it. I have been order the same coffee for many times at other locations they always make it full never did it like half of the cup like this.

Me and my husband came here the other day. We decided to go inside because we had tome to spare. While there my husband went to the bathroom and while he was gone I accidentally spilled coffee on myself. (Which is embarrassing enough) to make matters worse one of the baristas went up to the lady making coffee and said very loudly "oh my God that girl over there just spilled coffee all over herself." Than continue to laugh very loudly along with her co-workers except one person who took our order. Now let me mentiontl that I happen to be 7 months pregnant and my belly is quite big might I add. Not only did I burn myself but I couldn't move to clean it up myself because my baby moved into a position where if I would have gotten up at that moment my leg would have given out on me. The second my husband came out of the bathroom they stopped laughing and acted as if they did nothing wrong. My husband seen I was visibly upset and I told him I spilled coffee. He proceeded to the counter to ask for a wet rag and the lady who made a huge deal about me spilling coffee on myself gave him a rag acting as if she never did anything. When me and my husband made it out to the car I told him what happened and he called the manager. She proceeded to apologise for the way they treated me and offered us free drinks of we ever came back, as if free drinks could make up for humiliating me and making me feel absolutely horrible. When we decided to come back for our drinks the manager herself didn't come out to apologise or give us our drinks, instead the worker who did not participate in humiliating me was the one to apologise for all of his co-workers behavior and stated he remembered us and what happened and said that unfortunately not all his co-workers were proffessional about the way they acted towards customers. Needless to say we are never going back there and a free coffee cannot make up for treating anyone or humiliating someone the way they did. There is nothing anyone could do to make those actions right. I would hope that if this situation we're to happen to anyone else, pregnant or not they would offer to help that person and see if they were okay instead of making fun of them and making them feel horrible about an accidental spill. Me and my husband will never go to this...

We got 2 drinks and 3 baked goods. I ordered a venti brown sugar oat shaken espresso. I asked for only 3 shots instead of 4 and light ice. This is the same drink I get almost daily. The girl at the counter was very nice and I had no problems with her. After I gave her my order she Asked if I just wanted it filled up with oat milk to make up for light ice and I said yes and she said no problem.

The girl making my drink was named Natalie I think. When I got my drink it was 3/4 full of ice. Not only was it not light ice but it was extra ice. On top of that the drink was not full, there was still 1.5-2 inches of space at the top. If I’m paying $7 for a drink it should at least be full and not 3/4 filled with ice. I politely told the girl making it that it was supposed to be light ice. She stared at me, gave me a dirty look, rolled her eyes, gave me attitude and muttered to herself. My husband and I were shocked at her behaviour. Then when I got the new drink she made there was only 2 shots of expresso in it and I watched her only pump 2 pumps of the syrup. She purposely made it wrong again out of spite. Completely petty and rude behaviour. At that point I didn’t feel like asking her again to make it as I was unsure how she would react and needed to get back on the road so we left. What makes it worse is that we were here a few days ago on Dec 21 and the same thing happened. Cup no where near full and like 3/4 full of ice but we were in such a hurry I didn’t notice till we were back on the road.

Going forward we will be sure to go to the other location and...
