Miga's Steakhouse — Restaurant in Miramar

We went here for the first time this morning & was kind of disappointed.. we saw all of the wonderful reviews but it was very sub-par for us. No one speaks good English so we didn’t understand half of what was said to us, & our waitress didn’t understand us either. We ordered the American breakfast & it was not worth the price. The waffles were super dense & hard. I could’ve made this meal better at home.. my son ordered chicken nuggets & fries but was given no type of sauce so he had to eat them plain & barely touched his food. It really sucks because we came in with high expectations based off the reviews & photos but there didn’t seem like much to choose from & the prices didn’t match the atmosphere/service. We also asked the waitress about the milkshakes which we saw in the reviews & she said they didn’t have any?? The only thing we really enjoyed were the empanadas & the smoothies. I’d like to give this place another try but they definitely need to hire a few fluent English speakers. When it was time to pay, we sat waiting for our check & it was never brought so I had to stop someone to ask & she said we had to pay at the register which was behind us behind a divider, & she barely understood me also. The food was good (double vacio and order of sausage). However, service was terrible. One of my first visits to eat in a restaurant since start of the pandemic. Visited for a late lunch by myself. Waiter took my food order but never came back for a drink order. There were at least 8 employees with 2 other tables seated in the restaurant, but my server was too busy socializing to come back to the table. When my food was delivered 20 minutes later, I asked to get it to go and paid my $32 food tab at the counter. I wanted to like the restaurant because it is close to my house and I love steak. Needless to say, I won't be back to this restaurant.

Response to owner: I'm disappointed in your excuse for poor service. Lack of workers was not the issue for the poor service. I saw twice as many employees as customers in your establishment. The lack of trained and properly managed servers was the reason for the poor service. I worked my work through college waiting tables, so I am very understanding of servers who have too many customers to serve (which was not the case in my visit).
