ZUCCHINI GOURMET — Restaurant in Miramar

I'm giving 3 Stars only because I absolutely love the food and all the options. However, every time I call the Miramar location the staff does not want to pick up the phone. I usually call right before I leave my house and it takes me 20 minutes to get to that location and the whole ride there I'm calling calling calling and nobody wants to pick up. So I went inside to get my food even though I was running very late and I tried calling while I was inside and I can hear the phone ring and all this staff is completely ignoring the phone. How many customers are they losing by not picking up the phone to place phone orders? I asked the girl if I had the right number even though I knew I did because I've called eight times and I showed her on my phone the amount of times that I called she said they don't pick up the phone when we get too busy. I told her I only see one person standing on line in front of me and that's not an excuse. You guys need to pick up the phone so people need to place phone orders that they're able to do that. Another customer standing at the utensils said she was calling too and it just kept ringing too. The staff that was there this afternoon just seem to be really lazy. I own a small business and the reason why I'm at my business every single day is because I don't want lazy employees messing with my income. DUMB DECISIONS BY CORPORATE! The FIZZ was my favorite salad. Mixed lettuce, strawberries, walnuts, fancy crumbled cheese, garlic croutons, and ROASTED GARLIC! I walked in, ordered my usual, but guess what?...corporate did away with the roasted garlic and substituted dried cranberries instead. That is not the same flavor palate. The manager would not let her nasty employee return my money. (I never even left the parking lot with it...went right back in when I realized). I had to drive back the next day when she was there for a stinking ten dollars! The tropical chicken salad is also a new formula with an annoying aftertaste. They spent much time arguing with me that I should have read the menu when I came in and I would have seen the ingredients for the FIZZ salad. My argument?...IF YOU CHANGE THE INGREDIENTS IN THE SALAD, RENAME IT! Repeat customers do not read the ingredients to reorder what they've always ordered. Sorry to say it, but the way I was treated was a clear representation of the fact that it is not American owned and the owner is not yet Americanized when it comes to dealing with customers properly. I am so in love with this place & their concept! I use to go to the coral gables location often for lunch and when I moved to Broward I was thrilled about the Miramar location - also wouldn't mind more popping up in the area! Fresh, large salads filled with various greens, proteins, nuts, fruits veggies etc! A bunch of options paired with delicious dressings or an easy to custom option for the perfect salad for you. I also appreciate that all salads can easily become a wrap option for a quick on the go meal that is still very healthy! My go to is the big apple! Filled with greens, chunks of Apple, cheeses & various nuts with a delicious vinaigrette dressing! They also have cookies or nuts at the front counter for that sweet tooth! I'm also thrilled that they are now open on Sunday's! I always found myself in that Kohl's plaza on a Sunday excited to grab a salad and find them closed! Also make sure to call about their soup of the day! Their tomato basil is out of this world amazing!
