Best meal out in 11+ years Thank you longhorns!!

My husband had been given a gift card at Christmas for longhorn's. After a failed attempt to visit on a Saturday due to long lines we tried again today. It was amazing!!! Our server was lovely she actually memorised our order i.was a bit nervous at that point but she got everything ordered perfectly We had the white stuffed mushrooms these were amazing but incredibly my rich. I ordered the parmasan chicken with salad and loaded potato both were cooked beautifully and full of flavour, my husband went for the porterhouse steak with asparagus with shrimp and rice. I admit I was expecting some kind of hmn this isn't right but it never happened.

We've eaten out at some high end restaurants in the past and this is the first time I have ever seen him smile eating a steak he ordered medium-rare and said it was amazing and tender almost falling apart when cut. The asparagus was perfectly cooked and not woody at all We would've eaten a sweet too, but the food was so filling and tasty both of us had enough for a second meal for later.

Wait time for the food isn't too bad a little bit longer than I'm used to but for the food being cooked to perfection it was completely understandable. I think if the place had been busier it would be really noticable.

Price wise some say it's expensive but it seemed on par with other places we've visited for us it was actually cheaper than I expected. Added it's an agreement Longhorns is the best meal we've eaten out since we've been together and that's a good 11 years! I'll definately be eating here again and avoid weekends as the lines were long which is only due to social distancing because they have the tables sectioned off following the six feet apart rule.

The only reason I didn't do 5 stars is when we were ready to pay we couldn't find our server and other staff members politely said they couldn't do it. So we had to wait about 10 minutes not a problem at all for us but we wanted to make sure the gift card worked rather than just leave without making sure the bill was fully paid for.

Definately worth a visit but do budget for it because it's bit more costly than most chain restaurants and if don't want long line waits avoid Saturdays.

Thanks longhorn's for litrelly jumping over the dining out bar and wowing us. You've left several 5* privately owned restaurant experiences looking mediocre and that is a...

Where to start... My wife and I were to celebrate her birthday tonight and we were told our wait would be 20-25 minutes, maybe 30; it was at least 40. Once we were seated, our waiter didn't make it around for 5 minutes. We order a water and sweet tea, both with no lemon, and both had lemon when they came to the table (the waiter's only mistake). We ordered an appetizer with a modification, but it came out as it was on the menu instead of how we ordered it. The appetizer also took 15 minutes to get to us even though it was order with our drinks. Our food took at least 20 minutes to come out to us after being ordered. In the meantime, we watched at least a few tables have issues that the manager or servers had to handle. We watched meals being compensated and dishes replaced. When we finally got our food, I learned that they ran out of the onions they offered me as an option to dress my steak and my mashed potatoes weren't loaded like I had asked for. We didn't ask for our messed up appetizer or orders to be fixed because it wasn't worth the time investment we feared it would turn in to. However, the food was hot, delicious, and satisfying, but the experience was a disaster.

Bottom line is this, we love the food there (even when it's made wrong), but the experience of being a customer there is so painful that we probably won't return as customers (we might try a take out order...maybe...). I understand the kitchen was having problems, but you have to fix it. We had a great waiter who handled the mess with skill and tact, but if the back of the house can't produce, it doesn't matter how good the front of the house is in their roles because the experience will only be remembered as terrible. This would be a 1-star review, but the food is so good...just wish it wasn't a headache to get to the point...

>>> Date night with BUGS <<< This was my first time at the Mishawaka IN Longhorn Steakhouse and I can say with absolute certainty that it will also be my last. My boyfriend and I both ordered steaks and they were very salty, but adequate. Oddly enough, the issue we had was with the bread…not the meat. When my boyfriend took a bite, two bugs crawled out. (The horrible part is, we had already both eaten a couple pieces of bread before we saw the bugs!) When we told the manager, Patrick, he not only questioned everything we said, but even walked away before the conversation was over. He asked if we had a video of the bug crawling out of the bread, but how could we? Does anyone video themselves when they take bites of bread? We DID, however, take a video of one of the bugs as it was crawling away from the bread, but apparently that wasn’t proof enough. (As if you need proof when you tell a manager that bugs just crawled out of your food) Patrick also told us it was impossible that there were bugs in the bread because they bake it and they would die from the heat. But the waitress unknowingly contradicted him later when she told us that the bread is shipped in from the corporate Longhorn distribution center and the loaves come wrapped. Call it a hunch, but I think our buddy Patrick lied straight to our faces. He offered to give us a free dessert, but the thought of eating more food in that restaurant was actually disgusting to even entertain. Also, after Patrick left our table, we could see him in the back/kitchen telling his employees and laughing. He never came back to our table, mind you. Our waitress came back and said she “heard about the bugs” but didn’t know it was us. Which means, Patrick was in the back telling staff about his food having bugs in it, with intent to mock…not resolve. Which is a direct contradiction to the Longhorn Manager’s job description which states, “Restaurant Managers lead and inspire the service and culinary teams to deliver the ultimate steakhouse experience… every guest, every time.” They ended up comping half our meal, but we honestly would have preferred they take us seriously and address the bug issue. Our $65 bill wasn’t the issue. There is no denying, where there are 2 bugs, there are more. Maybe even an infestation at their distribution center? I don’t know, but neither will Longhorn because this store manager turned a blind eye to a legitimate concern about bugs. After we left, I looked up what type of bug it was and they were Sawtooth GRAIN Beetles. So you be the judge…do you really think there weren’t any bugs in our GRAIN-based bread? Eat at this Longhorn location at your own risk.

My wife and I had a dinner at Mishawaka's Langhorn on March 14, the good and environment were good so e decided to invite our friends and colleagues to dinner at Longhorn on st.Patrick's day, On Friday, March 17th, (with 6 other friends), I ordered a burger with simple bun (not buttery one) and well-done cook, I emphasized that I am allergic and sensitive to medium cooked/pink meat, after our food came, I cut my burger and I was medium rare (totally pink) with double buttered bun (even more than my colleague burger) I ask our waitress to check the burger and bun and again I told her, I am sensitive to pink and uncooked meat, she apologized (in a most insincere way) and took my burger to change it, my wife shared her food with me and after a long time our waitress inform me that she is sorry but my burger will be ready on couple of minutes. long story short, my burger came after the checks, and I asked her to put it in a box, and again she apologized but again in most hollow-hearted way like a machine who need to pass regulation, next day, I warm that burger again and surprise, it was my old burger and pink and pink and pink again (even after reheat) I don't know which part of I am sensitive and allergic to pink burger was funny for her or Longhorn, but I really disliked this attitude especially in front of my colleagues, and I had to pay for my full meals (even when my food came after check) I thought longhorn is a decent place to have dinner with colleagues and friends but as some of them are sensitive to different things (meals cook, gluten and ..) and it seems that longhorn don't care about it, I do not recommend this place to anyone you can see the burger after 2 times reheat :D

My father has always wanted to go to a Notre Dame game and my 5 sisters and I made it happen. He is turning 70 and it was on his bucket list. I have 3 sisters and myself living in Wyoming, one in Oregon, and another in Texas. It's been to long since we've all been together for even the 2 1/2 we shared. First off it was a very clean and welcoming environment. Hostesses were pleasant. A few of us sat at the bar to have a drink while we waited for our table. Bartender was pleasant but wasn't to sure about how to make certain shots without resulting to google. And I was uncomfortable that she poured and mixed the drinks and shots to where we couldn't see. I'm a bartender and that's a no no. The young gentleman that smelt amazing, took our drink orders, provided that fresh amazing bread with butter, asked if we'd like appetizers, and of course a few of us accepted. The stuffed cheese mushrooms along with the battered fried onions were phenomenal! We all ordered steaks, some of my sis's added the lobster. One of our orders didn't make it out with the rest, so of course we all waited to dig in until we all could. Was corrected, one of my youngest sisters steak was overcooked, and another sisters asparagus was undercooked. Regardless we all understand low staffed and a very busy night itll happen. Manager was very nice and checked on us. Amazing food! But our server was super duper awesome sauce!! Always on his toes and he seemed to enjoy his job.
