If I could give negative five I would. I CANNOT BELIEVE the experience I had at this place. So I never have had potbelly’s before and I NEVER will now, and I will be telling everyone I know about my experience with the staff at this restaurant, very unfriendly, defensive and unwilling to accept responsibility and fix the issue, all they had to do was make me a sandwich and I would have been fine! But they refused. I pulled in the driveway with another customer behind me, and about 3 in front, I wait about 5 mins or so and get to the speaker and see a sign that says they are “only taking online orders” due to staffing (which is a REAL problem, completely understandable.) so I pull out my phone to order 1 sandwich and 1 soup. After 5 mins of trying to order, the app wasn’t accepting my order, as this is happening and young man (whom was polite, but following a horrible, horrible customer service protocol) says SORRY, we have a $1500 order so we can’t help you. So basically I don’t matter, their catering takes precedent, which makes you feel so great inside, I tell him I am a first time customer and would just like to put in an order for one sandwich when would I be able to order, (because mind you they shut down the ability to order online) he said sometime after 12:45, it was like 11:50, so basically an hour. Feeling hungry and disappointed I said I feel like your saying “go screw yourself” because I DO feel like that. Then some very unprofessional and rude girl for on the intercom and yelled “um, no! no!” Your not gonna do that to us. Confused because I do not yell or cuss or even raise my voice, realizing I didn’t say anything wrong or untrue, she said we will not accept your behavior, confused, I let her know I was a potential new customer and would never be coming back and she practically laughed at me and said it’s managements or the offices fault to blame them! Now mind you I had a short time for lunch and I get to have wasted all that gas sitting there and cannot go anywhere else because I’m out of time, they sat and argued and pushed blame onto the manager and owner longer than the amount of time it takes to make one sandwich. I worked for Texas Roadhouse for YEARS. ANYONE whom would treat a guest like that, and we are talking about a first time guest at that, they would have fired me, then my Momma and maybe my grandmother too! I mean they never even asked for my order, though all the others in line got food. I inquired about that and she said well “because they ordered before I shut down the cart” it was an oddity, I am baffled and hungry, and confused honestly. Look I’m no Karen, I worked in the food industry for YEARS! I would have never sent someone away hungry, and be rude to them after telling them I will not accept their money or business. Insane. Y’all need to put the community first, not the drug reps, BECAUSE as sure as I am sitting here, that’s who the $1500 dollar order was for, those people are not the one that would be bringing the family ever single Saturday, that would...
