I ordered groceries today. They charged my card and I never got confirmation of my order. Never got my order either. Or a confirmation. I called my bank and the charge had in fact been made.
Here's what is terrible about Aldi. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY TO CONTACT A PERSON OR THE ACTUAL STORE to see if they, in fact, received your order. I sent three emails with absolutely no response. NONE. This is completely unacceptable by anyone's standards. They claim it is to keep prices down. Guess what? You just lost a customer because some of us want to talk to a person to not lose $100 being held from our accounts and wait 10 days for something we are never going to get. Who cares about lower prices if your customers all leave?
You screwed up this time Aldi.
Update for anyone who wants to actually speak to a person: I called Instacart, who does their deliveries. They had a "technical issue" that day. Instacart has a team devoted to Aldi purchases and you can speak to them directly. The issue was resolved. NOT BY ALDI BUT BY INSTACART. I still never got my groceries.
I would to suggest to Aldi to stop hiding from your customers because you don't want to deal with their complaints. Customer service, and lack there of can keep clients if drive them off.
People aren't putting up with the current "run, gaslight, lie, avoid, and deflect anymore. We have options. I would rather go to 10 stores to get what I need than be...
Read moreThe price point is quite low, so of course there comes a time in everyone's life where shopping at Aldi is the only fiscally responsible thing to do.
But I wouldn't come here if I could help it.
The parking lot is a nightmare. It's as if they put their store near a bunch of other stores so that they could get away with only having a 6-car lot. But you'll still have to cross a busy access road to get to the other parking lots.
Of course you'll have to deal with the whole carts being held hostage for a quarter situation - and the people who test every cart to see if they can get one without paying a quarter.
Then you'll need to remember your own bags or face some awkward unloading.
This Aldi also seems to be using Sam's Club sized carts. I've never seen such large carts in such a tiny store. And since the people who frequent this store don't seem to understand that other people are also trying to shop, you'll have to figure out how to get past these huge carts as they block the whole aisle with them.
The store is oddly organized. For example: there is cheese at the back of the store and all the way to the left side (left when you're coming inside) so it's hard to know where to go for items you need. They could...
Read moreGreat little discount grocery store store. Though not a complete grocery store, as you won't find everything a full grocery store would have.
Most of the stuff they sell is one of their own brands, to identify what is made or grown by Aldi, look for the "Twice as Nice Guarantee", stating that satisfaction is guaranteed, or you'll get a refund PLUS another of the item you returned. Which is great if there was something wrong with that item. Not so great if you didn't like its taste. Because, why would you want more of stuff you don't like?
But they DO sometimes sell other brands, usually when buying from other stores that ordered too much of something. Those things will come and g... well, usually just disappear, probably to never be never seen again.
The negative is that they never know what's...
