My wife and I decided to check out the Montgomery Distiller because I had always wanted to check it out. We decided to go because the website said they offer food thru montana p.i.g. Our server greeted us right away. We browsed the drink menu and ordered our first drinks with ease. When our drinks arrived we inquired about ordering from notorious p.i.g. as the drink menu said. Our server brought us on of the notorious p.i.g. menus this is unfortunately where our service ended. We waited patiently for our server to check back with us about ordering food from notorious p.i.g.. After about 15 minutes we waved our server down to figure out how to order food. We were told that they didn't take the orders and that we would have to call or walk down to notorious p.i.g.. I full understand if notorious p.i.g. is no long running food to the distillery during busy times due to various reasons that plague the restaurant industry right now. What I can't accept is that neither our server notified us ahead of time nor Montgomery Distillery's management putting a message on their cocktail menu advertising that notorious p.i.g. would deliver food tableside for us. Our server was also to busy with their phone and another patron at the bar to pay good attention to the rest or the tables in their care. Update. Thank you to the owner for replying so quickly. We were in the distillery yesterday around 5:45pm. Your server will probably remember us as I had to walk up to her an pay in cash so we could leave. I also told her she should pay more attention to all her patrons as I handed her the cash and left. I will probably give the Distillery's bar another chance in the future. I enjoy the Montgomery Distillery's spirits at home and at other...
Read moreVery disappointed in Sam, the bartender, due to the fact that we are from out of town, and we were told that this was the best distillery to go to and visit. We had plans on purchasing numerous bottles of their alcohol if it was good. And when my sister asked to sample the product, he acted like she only wanted free drinks! Unfortunately, due to the fact that he was not able to tell us the story of the distillery or anything about how the whiskeys came about or were made. They left a little bit less to the imagination want to purchase anything. We ended up, however, purchasing approximately $250 worth of alcohol, not because of Sam, who was not good. But for the fact that the liquor was halfway decent was halfway. He made us feel less than welcome, and charged $15 for the flight, even though we spent so much money there. Future business tip of the day, if your customers come in and buy alcohol after sampling your product from a flight. The flight should...
Read moreWent on a Monday @ 12:45pm. I was the only one there. Bartender was far more interested in squeezing the fresh limes for juice (for the bar container) than she was in any kind of service. I asked for tasting flight. I got a bunch of separate shot glasses with very small amounts for tasting, with nothing to tell me what was in the glass, though she did verbalize what was in each, as she set 7 of them down (hope your memory is good). No worries, I can remember short term. The samples were quite good. Ordered Bloody Mary, and it was fantastic. Ordered Gimlet with "Whyte Layde" gin, and it was great. Drinks fantastic. Service with...
