I stayed at this hotel for just 2 nights and it was awful. I stayed on the 5th floor in room’s 505 and 517. The first night I was woken up at 230am from the sounds of heavy stomping walking back and forth. Then there was the noise of what sounded like a chair scraping against the wood floor which happened a couple times and made it even more unbearable. I decided to put earbuds in and played white noise but the stomping was so loud I could hear it and feel shaking through the earbuds, heck the stomping was so heavy the minibar area started to wobble and shake. This went on for an hour and then stopped around 330am, but it wasn’t over for the night. Once again at 5-6am the walking back and forth started again, loud pounding, boom, boom, boom back and forth so loud a deaf man could hear it. So the next night I switched rooms to room 517. I thought I found peace but at around 3am I started to hear a heavy foot hit the ground and disrupt my sleep again. This time it was kind of scary because I already switched rooms. This time they would walk one way for like 8-10 steps then continue going back the other way. I would also hear heavy objects shifting around and occasionally the sound of an object dropping on the floor which really shook the room heavy. I dont know if there is staff above the 5th floor or something or this hotel is haunted but I do not recommend staying here! If you do definitely do not book...
Read moreI haven't been trying to get ahold of the AGM, Joe Gary, for 2 years regarding a W-2 that was not provided to me. This is my last attempt to try and get in contact before I go to the IRS. Management took advantage of my young age at the time (this was one of my first jobs) and drastically cut my hours in the winter, saying they had no space for me and I had not been trained properly, after 4 months of being there I had no formal training, and was given 8 hours per week. I would not recommend staying here. I just want my w-2. I spoke with Mariah earlier and had asked to be transferred to Joseph, and she told me that I could either tell her what the situation was about, or she would hang up on me. She continued to talk over me and interrupt, and she refused to transfer me after I told her the situation. Hopefully, this review will get the attention of the general manager, or someone that will actually help me. This is shameful business practice. Joseph already has my contact information, as does the sister hotel. If there is an alternate phone number, I would need to be provided with this information. I will be documenting and forwarding this information to the IRS on March 10 if I have not...
Read moreFirst off, the staff in Missoula is wonderful. From the friendly bartender, to the reception desk people who helped push the elevator button when my hands were full of coffee cups, to the valets who parked the car. 5 stars there.
The problem is Marriott Bonvoy — Marriott keeps removing standard amenities to save costs and it shows. You come back from a day working and your bed is not made? “That’s the policy - we only make beds every two days.” You ask for your bed to be made the next day anyway, it never happens. Three nights straight and the bed was never made.
Coffee in room? Sure, if you want the watery cheap “tea bag” unit from the 1980s they still use. Other hotels offer Nespresso pods — not Marriott.
Want to pour a glass of wine you just bought in your room? Only paper cups. Not even a glass cup in the bathroom. Cheap cheap cheap, corners cut everywhere— and this is their “upscale” AC hipster brand hotel.
I had a similar bad Marriot experience in San Fran. No coffee at all - go to the lobby and wait in line forever.
I’m over Marriott. I’m going to give up my Bonvoy points and find another...
